FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

Hi M,
Looks complete 'junk' to me......:173go1:.....sorry..;)

Yes quite agree, there are some good freebies out there, that can be imported, although as they are not optimised for flightsims they also tend to be a little poly heavy.

Cheers

Shessi

LOL Guys. Yes, she's a Junk and it's pretty basic. I have around 8 ships I am playing with looking for potential. Unfortunately, they all need lots of work.

Sometimes I like to go back and fly the early Dash 7 version for the paints.

Shessi

That's right Shessi, and often, they show up as one part name, and if mapped, they use FS non-conforming sized textures. But, some have potential like the "HMS Victory" project.

I still fly the early Dash 7 too, because of the old Continental Express scheme and fictional Buffalo Airways colors. Thanks tons for the Dash Milton!:wavey:

That's quite an impressive fleet of Dashes you have Milton. When I see how often the model is mentioned in the various threads, I guess it is still a very much flown model in the sim!

Cheers,
Huub

Some things you just should't try.....

Inspired by Shessi's Arado Ar234 a, I thought it was a good idea to improve the textures on the WOP Arado Ar234b....

Of course you can expect it will be difficult to make a detailed texture at roughly 1024x512 pixels. But it was even worse. Stretched textures in a way I never encountered. One side of the tail was stretched with a ratio of 1 : 1.15 and the other side of the same tail was stretched with a ratio of 1 : 1.35 :dizzy:. The fuselage is stretched, but every section with its own ratio...... :dizzy:. Not to mention the differences in scale........ (oops I did mention them now!)

So I don't think the outcome is not really something to be proud on, but still I hope they look better than the default ones.

The T9+KH from Kommando Sperling flown by Oblt Werner Muffey from Rheine airfield. November 1944. Finished in the late war RLM 81/80/76 scheme. The unit marking depicts a farting sparrow, and the aircraft flew reconnaissance mission over the British coast to check whether the Allied Forces were preparing for an invasion in the Netherlands.

The T9+HH from Sonderkommando Sperling, Rheine, autumn 1944. Finished in a RLM 70/71/65 scheme.

The same thing is present in Krzysztof Malinowski's Ki-100 and carries over to A.F.Scrub's update of the same. I use Morton's textures (as always with Morton, they are great!). Unfortunately, as you mentioned with the Arado Ar234b, here the tail has different ratios on each side. I would love to see this aircraft revisited!!

It was quite old as the Spitfire VII is 'somewhere' on my backup drive, the toning was just too bright so I've washed out the bright colors and then used a slightly (10%) darker filter.
Time I reinstalled her as the Mk.VII has been overlooked for ages.
:encouragement:

Is it the Spitfire Mk.VII done by Paul Rebuffat for CFS2/FS2002? When it is it must be alternative textures as I can't remember all the maintenance stencils. But definitely a great shot and although the VC of Paul's Spitfire shows its age, the is external model is still quite good

Cheers,
Huub

Indeed it is the Paul Rebuffat Mk.VII Huub, when I first found his work most of the Spitfires had been updated for FS2004.
IIRC the interiors had been updated and were fairly acceptable for the time.
I must trawl through my backup discs and find them.
The only one that was not quite up to scratch was his Mk.XII but it was the only one around and still acceptable.
:encouragement:
