FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

Thanks Alex,

Now that I have a functional confutor the project is moving along after an eight month hiatus. David is doing a couple final tweaks on the models and I’m doing some little fixes on the skins I’ve painted so far. I have several more skins to do and the manual to finish, and the Tornado will be ready to fly.

The B-45 had some unique operating procedures that David managed to model in the 3D and flight models, so the pilot’s notes in the manual will be important. Getting the Tornado up in the air won’t be hard, but if you don’t know the tricks to come back down you could get stuck up there!

As with the B-47 we’ve gone a bit overboard, David making models of every variant we could find out about (except the X-jobs, which were just unique enough to require a whole new model from scratch and wore no interesting markings) and I’m painting skins to show the plane in the colors and markings of every unit that operated the type and the operational versions with every combination of squadron colors and external stores. We like going overboard like that!

I can’t predict a release date yet but it will be pretty soon.

Ilyushin Il-14

I found this model at the LH Simulations site. The model is the Il-14 by Jens B. Kristensen, The VC has been updated by the LH Simulations team.

The Ll-14 was the Russian replacement of the DC3/Li-2.

And a Russian military version of the same aircraft a few posts before (although this one without blisters).

Not yet, but I will upload it later today. But you wonder how the aircraft really looked.

Profile 1, without the kangaroo and the word NAN

Profile 2, without kangaroo but with the word NAN

Profile 3. with the kangaroo and the word NAN, but with a sharkmouth with small teeth....

Well at least one aircraft had a kangaroo and the word NAN painted on it.....

And at least one aircraft had somewhat larger teeth...

So perhaps not fully authentic, but hopefully a repaint to enjoy.... As the aircraft was originally delivered in the Dupont colours and scheme I kept the Dupont scheme and repainted the Dupont No 71-013 standard RAF Mid stone and the lower surfaces Azure Blue.

Edit: The textures should be available now.

Where does the "civil" air tanker come from?

Cheers,

Both are mine. I started them years ago and kind of upgraded them over time as I learned more about modeling. Most by following the modelers on this site. Thought it was time to post them.

This explains why I didn't knew them. They sure look nice.

Work in progress. Still very clean...... It won't be ready before next year.......

The Kittyhawk Mk.1A EV421, from No.2 Sq. SAAF, flown Maj D.B. Hauptfleisch, spring 1942. I did it so I had something to fly from Ian's RAF Gambut, although I think 2nd squadron SAAF was never stationed there.

It is the IRIS model with the de-shined model file by Wild Bill Kelso. This repaint is based on the better than excellent paintkit by Steve "Duckie"Bryant.
