under the "texture=" lines in your aircraft.cfg.

Thanks a lot for that. Will check that out a little later todaycor tomorrow.. and will report how its working for me. Btw. Do you eventually have an effect for the Prop Wash in Wet weather?

I would love to see this special effect behind the props when the wash is turning off from the blades... i love to see this effect in reality also... have seen it on the Antonov AN-12 and on ATR-72's or Dash 8's

The cockpits wher quiet simple at those times. But they where operational.

This Fokker D VII is flown by the WWI ace Willy Gabriel. He later teached my father to fly

I only heard about Willy Gabriel recently, as he was the pilot of a Fokker Dr.1 used in two German/Nazi pre-war propaganda films. He flew as NCO with the German elite from Jagdstaffel 11 during WWI, and the story of the the movie "Blue Max" (Starring George Peppard and Ursula Andress) was most likely inspired by his experiences during this period. In August 1918 he was removed form the unit by Hermann Göring. Gabriel had 11 confrimed victories at that moment.

Thank you Huub for these details,
I had the luck to know him as I still was a child. Every time my father was in Berlin we made a visit to him.
What I remember that he was very kind with me and on one wall of his little apartment was a broken propeller.
He certainly was not a fan of the german government as he did disagree completely with people as Göring&Co.
The repaint on the screenie was done by me with an old photo as reference. The plane and his pilot certainly merrits a better repaint.

than when the student pilot has shown that he is well mastering the Schulgleiter SG38
he began to train on the Grunau Baby. With the Baby he learned to feel the wind and thermics
and to "feel with his bottom" what the plane does.

when the student has been a confirmed glider pilot very often he continued to engine powered aircraft.
In most case the Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann was his first motorplane

Hans Kirschstein's Fokker D.VII

Hans Kirschstein was an known German WWI pilot. He rparticularly gained popularity with his self-decided flight in 1917 to Dover and bombing the town.

I mentioned Hans Kirschstein here, because he was the grandfather of Guenter Kirschtein, one of the well known FDE experts for MSFS. In the forums he was known as GK Cherry.

More a appreciation, than a screenshot competition.

Michael, I gotta admit, I'd rather prefere the more modern gliders these days... as for example this private, Scheibe SF.25C Falke.

In the twenties and the thirties in a lot of countries has been flying clubs where a lot of young and elder men builded themselves their sailplanes made of wood and fabric - and so a lot of young men learned to fly
Today papas son just ask "how much?" And papa signs the bill. Less young men flying in certainly nice machines. But the charme has been lost for ever.

I have a German Klemm 25. But it's FS98 made and therefore without propeller in FS9.
