Just a little question is this here know a publicity platform for payware airliners now?
There is a nice forum in german that loves payware or freeware airliners and scenery:
FS2004-team

good evening Luvb,
oh yes, I do agree with you. Almost when you see that real life is getting more and more hard.
I had done a creenshot by mixing a Me 262 panel with as background an aircraft I really do not like to see.
But I decided not to publish this "screnshotmontage" as I believe it is beeing too much agressive. So I decided to return on my good old Sikorsky of the late 50ies LOL

Best regards

Michael

I understand that. Maybe to fly away of military things. The Belgian air company Sabena (Société Anonyme Belge pour l’Exploitation de la Navigation Aérienne) used some Sikorsky helicopters. The history maybe you’ll find some idea for repaint. Kenavo.

Hallo Lucb,

there are lot of possible repaints possible for Willy Vervaeckes nice Sikorsky HSS1.
In the past I asked if some repainters would not pick up the challenge to make some nice civil
repaints. Even after I proposed to publish blank textures there where no interest about to make some repaints
From my point of view it is sad. In the screenshots we get the thousends version of Boeing or Airbus, but to make nice civile repaints
for Willy Vervaeckes HSS1 - nada, nitchew nix
I am really sad about this desinterest.
So much can still be done in and for FS2004!
I try with my little contribuations to keep FS2004 still interesting and at life.

Best regards

Michael

An quite interesting document and report. Thanks for sharing.

To Michael: Maybe the interest in retro classic aviation isn't here very intensive as ion other sites and forums. Between modern airliners and warbirds it seems not to be sufficiant space. IMO, of course. Older helicopters seem to be concerned too.

Like @leuen wrote, people here like airliner and combat aircrafts. But we’re a few to love vintage airplanes/helico, general aviation and Homebuilt/ultralight aircrafts. I think some of us are coming from flightsim. FS2004 is perfect for us. We have to make more noise 🥁
One last thing, your little contributions are big and not little.

That's certainly a good attitude. Luc. However, I wonder if making noise and thus gaining attention is the right approach? Wouldn't convincing and sparking genuine interest be more sustainable and worthwhile? One has to be aware that virtual vintage and retro flying never hasn't a large fan base. Interests were always very selectively. Intially SOH was quite different, as it was mostly and essentially fixated on military topics and contributions.

Neither on FlightSim, nor on other sites had eever developed engaged communities. Even those who offer a suitable and unique environment worldwide struggle to maintain enthusiasm. And rhe actual MSFS 1935 doesn't seem to be gaining traction. It's a shame, because aviation's past is just as fascinating and requires far fewer resources, since everything was simpler back then.

I used the Freeware Project Airbus A320-214… only the Sceneries are Aerosoft Paywares… Why should that be a felony?

Btw. it is a SCREENSHOT Corner, and there was never any regulations about posting only Images where only Freeware was used at…

I’ve asked the owners of Sim Outhouse here in this thread as well once i’ve joined SimOuthouse, if this is only a screenshot corner where we're only allowed to share pictures of the Military or Stuff which is beeing shared on this website… (which btw. also contains payware aircraft). And the owners told me then, that there’s absolutely no restrictions… and that theres everything allowed to show….

So, sorry that i’ve posted airliners… I’m just not the Helicopter or Military Type of Pilot but rather a civilian aircraft and an Airline Pilot (in reality as well btw.). And so, I do like to fly different things as most of the community in here…

Oh, and btw. I am blocked from using the FS2004.Team website because the owner is damn silly and jealouse of my screenshots i do post :D because his do have a different standart than mine. hahaha

Oh and btw. the last screenshots i’ve posted, about Iberia A320 from Barcelona to Ibiza were inspired from real videos, watched on Youtube, where actually Vueling Airlines was taking off from Barcelona, heading towards Ibiza. And I just love the steep Take off from Runway 25L and then the steep turn out to sea. So i wanted to do such a flight in my sim as well…

Plenty of room for everyone here, quite a lot of my military shots contain payware aircraft. As you may have gather'd, im not really an airliner guy but Airbasil's shots are very well done and enjoyable to look at, reminds me of Aharon's FSX screens

Luc, I shortly come back to your post. The linked report is also largely dedicated to MERAVO Luftreederei, which was subject of several threads done by Michael. He repainted the Sikorsky S-58 in company colors. Furthermore he created the small airfield of Oedheim (Germany) where MERAVO is still based. I added his helicopters as AI.

Hallo friends,

historic/ vintage aircrafts and scenery certainly always be a marge of the total space of flight simming.
This I understand, it is reality and in some way it is good so. For a long long time here things has been very nicely equilibrated.
Every one did find his space, from the modern jet flyers to the wood and fabric acrobats. A ot of not pay ware scenery has been used and done,
A big big thank you to all the creators of freeware scenery by the way.
But suddenly there are a lot of screenies with payware aircraft and scenery of modern airliners. As I have seen at other sites they take over the majority every where. (why does I think about a song in the film "Cabaret", money money makes the world go round - - - ?)
With money you can do all what you want. But from my side I find it some more interesting than to by and use to make things ourselves with what we have and share for free what we feel to be our goodies.

What concerns FS-team, hmmmm I would not say they are silly. I have also be bannished from them, but I was in the possibility to explain my points of view and finaly they accepted them as I accepted theirs. So thing got back in order. They from the beginning on are focalized on airliners and modern flying
Sim Outhouse had other roots and I hope these roots not to be forgotten and not to be overrun.

Best regards and happy landings to all

Michael

Don’t worry, just because I do mostly fly modern Airliners, as i do it in Real World as well, that won’t overrun your preferences… :D as you are also welcome to post your pictures and what you prefere… And I do welcome seeing your pictures and checking them out from time to time…

Here’s my latest Flight…

here an announce in a daily newspaper I rember when I was a child: "Suche gebrauchte 8,8 Flak und 2 cm Flakvierling 38 um das Tieffliegerproblem zu lösen" Of course it was not serious. But a serious problem of that time was the lot of low flights by the jets of all armed forces in germany.
Now how you does interpret that and whyI think about this announce - - - that is about your own.
I will not attack anyone ! And I have no intention to stay on some one others feet.

Best regards

Michael
