this morning thinking about my love for the old propliners, I set up a flight. The flight was from Altus AFB, Oklahoma to Dyess AFB, Texas. This was just a short 40 min flight in a C-97. I was using VOR to VOR navigation, along with VFR at aprox. 5,000 ft. (Yes, I wanted to site see.) One of the big visual flight references in route to Dyess is Lake Stamford near Haskel, Tx.

As I was passing Lake Stamford to my port, I was corious to how acurate Microsoft was. So I looked up a map of Lake Stamford up.

here is a link to a map of the lake. its a rough map

I was amazed how well they did in the general layout of the lake in the sam.....

here is the picture of my plane passing Lake Stamford.

I just find the time they put into the game wonderful

I love props too. How 'bout a link to where you got that C-97 at?

Cowboy, if you think it looks good in default textures, you should see it with GE Pro, UT-USA, and FSGenesis 38-meter DEM mesh.
