Is FSTL completely inop? I noticed that when I open an airport there are no static aircraft however, when I also load FSTL, is seems to populate the airport with static aircraft.

Thing of it is, when to close this injector. It seems to keep loading and loading stuff and I don't know if it will shut off on its own or what.
I am aware that AI traffic had been done away with so what is a good replacement for AI traffic? Can FSTL be used in conjunction with some other
AI traffic injector?

You don't need the FSLTL injector at all now, just the FSLTL model library. The MSFS Real Traffic Online setting needs to be on for in-flight traffic, and the Graphics/Parked Traffic settings set to your own preferences for ground traffic.
I've bought the BravoAirspace Airline Traffic Global add-on from the MSFS Marketplace which completely replaces all the white liveries and company liveries from airport gates with real-world liveries, while allowing parked GA traffic to appear at GA airfields.
My graphics settings (zero FPS impact):

I know that when I activated the FSTL program and watch one major airport populate with what looked to be actual airliners that are relevant to
the location, after a few moments of flying a CTD message popped up and I think that when the FSTL was loading with a LOT of airliners it must
of over powered my Vram.



Whereby I sought a remedy for this Turn Vsync OFF


After having to activate every time I loaded FS24, I gave up and binned FSTL. I loaded the stock FS24 traffic and was very bland.
So now, I am contemplating Beyond ATC.

For the last few years, I've been using the FSLTL package in 2020. I recently moved over to 2024 and been playing around with the various set ups. The MSFS real traffic is dreadful at getting decent traffic either with it's own inbuilt models, FSLTL or AIG. model matching is poor. Yesterday I had a go with the AIG controller and traffic was excellent. Even regional airports are now populated with relevant aircraft. The only downside is how long it takes to download the AIG packs and fire up the controller, but once open, it is a great 'free' solution. I had previously uninstalled AIG on 2020 in favour of FSLTL, in part because of the complex way of downloading and installing, but the updated tool is easier to use.
