Welcome to the weapons pack for FSX!
I have now got weapons that drop and blow up.
I also think that thare is more out there to find.

You do not add the weapon to the planes XML. like in CFS3. you add the weapon and amount you want to use in a save flight. That means you can load what every plane you want into that saved flight and use the weapon you have in the flight.

This is the list:

There are some draw back's to some of the weapons. I also know that some of the strange things have been fix.

I'm going to get a hold of the man that sayed this about one of his add-ons.
"it will even leave a crater but not destroy anything yet - still learning mission SDK"

I will keep looking to see what's out there for combat in FSX.

You have the same ones in Strike Fighters (plus quite a few more...) and they really do work, too. You can kill MiGs out to some 20 miles with your Phantom...

This is what I have learned about combat in FSX gold.

This can be put in missions.
Also used in MP combat.

This video shows bombs being dropped in FSX.

A have looked and found that you can fly combat in FSX, if that is what you want to do.
Will it be as good as CFS3 and the Expansions for combat? At this point no. But under the right development it could be.

Don't misunderstand stand me with this. I do not thank or want anyone to stop doing what there doing in CFS3. I think The Expansions are the best WWII/ korean war flight sims out there.

The ETO/PTO team and others are doing a great service for the flight sim community.

What a Great group of people you guys are.

The video has some voice tracks from the military part of FSPassenger.

This video shows the latest developments in the Military aircraft in FSX.
I spoke with the owner of the software on the phone. He said that thy have more goodies that will take the planes and combat in FSX to the next level,
by the first of the year.

What thy have found is a way that does not crack the hard coding but over rides the coding.

This airplane has 42 versions and numerous weapons you can put on the airplane. And some of them are radar lock-on. That is high detailed.
The airplane comes with a 350 page Owens Manuel. Ya, 350 pages!

Thy have found away to over ride the hard coding in FSX. Can that be done in CFS3?

Enjoy the video.:wiggle:

I do not have phase 3. Where thy able to expand the land mass. Like the rest of the globe if thy wanted to?

flyer01

No, that's a very hard limit. FS and CFS2 use a global mapping system while CFS3 uses a flat-projection 'sandbox' and will only display a theatre up to a maximum size: much bigger and ridiculous distortions are unavoidable.

The biggest example of a CFS3 theatre is MAW.

I talked about what the guys at Vertical Reality Simulations are doing with combat in FSX. This say it better then I.

I tell you-------- this is like flying the real F/A-18E Superbug.

"Guys, there are a number of things that are still in development here, so it's impossible to fully outline what will or will not be available. Features are definitely subject to change, but for the most part all of the following features are planned and for the most part working.
Any and all AI can be destroyed both in the air and on the ground though true weapon objects including AAMs with guidance systems and guns.
Destroyed and damaged aircraft will realistically spiral out of control (or attempt to maintain it). Upon impact with the ground, they will leave persistent impact craters.
Air-to-ground missiles such as Mavericks, HARMS and Harpoons will all become real objects capable of targeting and destroying simobjects
Bombs of various types (dumb and LGBs) can be employed and will destroy ground objects (simobjects, not structures). Even splash damage to nearby simobjects is simulated.
Multiplayer aircraft can also be destroyed and damaged and radar warning receiver and countermeasures functions will operate to some extent (WIP).
Air to ground radar will be fully modeled including MAP, Ground Moving Target, Sea Surface Search, Fixed Target Track and Ground Moving Target Track modes.
Air to air radar will be improved with additional functionality and true-to-life fidelity. The AA radar changes will be rolled into SP1 as well.
Air to air refueling via on-demand in-flight menu system similar to the way AI carriers works. Call tankers any time, any place. Tankers will assume realistic orbits, and in the case of tankers spawned near carriers, their orbits will follow the fleet. In addition it will be possible to call target drones. We do not yet know how viable it will be to create dogfight partners, but they are still on the table.
"
I see it Combat in FSX is possable.

P.S Happy laborday!
