There were quite some differences between the Finnish (Mercury powered) D-XXI and the Dutch one. One of the most visual differences are the legs of the undercarriage. The Dutch D-XXI had thin legs to reduce drag, while the Finnish had a much heavier undercarriage to enable them to use skies.

There has been a RG version, but the reason why they never got in production phase is, if I remember well, unclear. Probably the speed gain was not high enough. This was an issue during early development in 1934 or so already at Fokker. The D.21 wasn't aerodynamically refined enough to have profit of RG, but the Finnish did try it out yet.
