FSX Screenshots Here!!

Another work in progress. I really need to have this one done in time for tomorrow night's flight though. And it's going through a major revision from this at the moment.

I see Mr Booker; having said that, I don't think aircraft carriers and me mix very well!
BTW, are you sure the second Ligthning and the Tu-95 weren't placed there courtesy of AFTx by any chance? Only, they don't appear to be the same models as before!

The first pic with the Lightning is using ATFx. I wanted to see how the flyable Tu-95 handles 300kts. The second shot with the F18 is the AI Tu-95 courtesy of CS Weapons. Doesn't do to get too close but it serves a purpose;)

Yum, now there is a paint perfect for me to use on FSE with the C1 my group just acquired.

Looks exactly right goodyzero, not too shiny and not to dull :encouragement:

I can't see the wing, but perhaps a bit of variation in the amount of shine/reflection will add something extra to the repaint.

Cheers,
Huub

Wives just don't understand...

Here I was, minding my own business, goofing around the area of Dimus' new scenery when SWMBO pop's in and looks at the screen..

She said "How can you fly with wings like that?"

"It's only a small airport so I've folded the wings" I replied.

"You are soo sad" she replied.

I rest my case:(

It seems hard to believe Dave, that the Gannet AEW3 was withdrawn from service as far back as 1978!
To be 'temporarily'; (for 19 years) replaced by the Shackleton AEW Mk2!

Was it that long matey?? I thought the AEW2's stopped ops in '91?

ATB
DaveB:)

Yes Dave Shackleton's did stop in '91.

It was Gannet AEW3 that went out of service in November 1978 when the 'Old' Ark Royal docked at Devonport for the final time!
AEW Mk2 Shackletons, (a stop gap) lasted until 1991, 19 years service; using second hand Gannet AN/APS 20 radar, and was only meant to last until Nimrod AEW3 was ready; this was eventually cancelled, in favour of the Sentry AEW1.
