FSX Screenshots Here!!

Having battled with this myself.. I can appreciate the work you've put into that paint. Great job sir:encouragement:

Hermes is from the old Alpha Falklands set. Looks ok from a distance but is very lacking close-to. Needs a serious amount of time in dry dock or someone to get permission from Phil to re-engineer it:dizzy:

Looks just like Hermes when she returned after the Falkland war...hehe

Just found a net download of the old Alpha HMS Hermes converted to FSX, I guess it is the same you use. Actually I think it is a rather easy job to make it looks like something you actually can fly from. It is the Island and the masts in particular which looks bad. That should be a rather easy job for the guys which can use MCX and a 3D program if we can get anyone interested. The deck texture is of course also very low res, but that is a job I can handle if we get the antennas fixed.

I really came to value the Wilco over the last months, but I still hate the small wrong dimension of the nose wheel and the bad big dimension of the nozzles. In fact, the wheel diameter is BIGGER than the nozzels one...at least it's as big as the main gear wheels..This is and will remain a designing accident to me....

You might have a point with the nozzles, the nose-wheel though looks about right to me.

What really bugs me is the overhead ejection handles, as far as I'm aware the only Sea Harrier/Harrier so equipped is the Art Nalls privately owned F/A-2. Then theres the lack of launch rails for the Aim-9's and the more than slightly iffy Sidewinders themselves.I'm also a bit put off by the fact the FRS.1 gets a Gr.3 cockpit when its the Sea Harrier that I'm actually interested in, the centre console and upper right quadrant were radically different, as in almost nothing in common with each other.

Many thanks to DaveB for doing this marvellous repaint of the Virtavia Sea King HU Mk5; ZA166, cab 16.
She was the last of the Culdrose based HU Mk5s to carry the Ace of Clubs markings on the underside of her fuselage; she, along with all of the other Culdrose SAR Sea Kings carried from 2013, an inscription marking various significant rescues carried out by 771Sqn.; in this instance it was the rescue from the Yacht SINE SEORRA, 30th August 1992, which can be seen on the undercarriage sponson.
Thank You 771Sqn.; and thank you Dave B!

Nice one Chris:encouragement:

One thing if you're interested (and missing from my shots above). Pop over to Flightsim.com.. put Sea King into the search engine and scroll down until you come across a rotor texture update. I think it's on page 2 but in any case, it's not difficult to find. The author has reworked the prop blur on the main rotor to reflect 5 blades and there's a new rear prop blur in the set too if you don't like the original. I downloaded them a while back but after seeing my shots above, I decided to dig it out and install. Looks much better having the right number of blurs;)
