FSX Screenshots Here!!

Looking superb Steve. Looks like a scene from a movie:applause:

Matt

Thanks Matt. Spent so much time looking at the screen shots from the carrier and flying scenes that I thought I'd try to at least capture the mood from some of them.

Beautiful shots!
The film was called:- The Bridges at Toko-Ri; made in 1954, starring William Holden.

Thanks Chris. ...and a good movie it was, and still is! One thing I did notice in my research of the aircraft in the movie, which reinforces the old modelers' adage that no 2 aircraft colors and markIngs are exactly alike, was that things like the red ejection placard, nose number and tail BuNo stencil, and even the fuselage "NAVY" banner positions varied on some aircraft.

Still in all, good looking jet, and lots of fun painting them and then flying them. Thanks for your comments, guys.

Nice shots, I have an uncle who flew the F9F those many years ago. Who's model is it and where could a person pick it up.

thanks. Taco

Its from Vertigo Studios Taco. It IS a nice model and a dream to trap in. It's often lurking in a sale too which is good news for those who don't yet have it;)

Beautiful Mitsubishi John ! Mike :applause:

Thank you, Mike! I had misplaced my WWII Fighters disc, and after some system upgrades and re-installs, I had gone without it for too long - finally found it and it is nice to have it in the sim again. Flies/handles just like how I imagine the real one flies, having seen Warren Pietsch's low-altitude, low-energy full aerobatic display in the Texas Flying Legends Zero. The real A6M Zero is one of the most elegant aircraft I have ever seen fly in person.

Sorry, just had to follow your lead Dave!
The Royal Navy version of the T-2, simply oozes Cornwall; both sight and sound!
A truly beautiful aircraft, and very much missed over the South West!
