FSX Screenshots Here!!

Hello mate:wavey:

It comes with both:encouragement:

It is, as I mentioned earlier, unfinished and some bits are missing but all the major parts of the flightdeck are fully functional. Rick tweaked an Astazou soundset to better reflect how they sounded on the Jetstream too. Some bits are visible that shouldn't be depending on the viewing angle (though I can't recall seeing any recently) but it has a lovely flight model with few vices and is as happy being hand flown as it is on AP. Rick is away at the moment but he's said he'll do some U.S. paints for it on his return. The paint kit (available at CBFS) is straight forward with all necessary areas covered on 2 maps.
It's a shame it never got beyond this point but having been here for so long with little chance of it going further, Rick decided to let it go;)

Went to set up an account with CBFS and stumbled on the question at the bottom of the page,

....what are the engines hanging off the "Shorts Belfast" ? .... I say Rolls Royce Tyne tubo Prop , Wrong answer ?

Anybody :santahat:

Can't say on that one, but my question was "What was the registration number of the VC-10 that flew in RAF Bedford colours?" How the bloody hell should I know? I have Dave Maltby's VC-10 for FS9... not sure I have the RAF Bedford livery for that model. I was expecting a question like..."What was your mum's maiden name?"... or something like that. Maybe, just type "Rolls Royce Tyne", see if that works. Oh well... :biggrin-new:

..... thank god for the "Net", I put the question of the "VC 10 registration number" into Google a couple of times and found the answer, had no success with the "Shorts Belfast" question. You'd think "mum's maiden name" would suffice, I suppose they have their reason's . Must say the end result is well worth the effort :jump:

Cheers for now

Sorry Dave, just registered at CBFS but I haven't still found the download for the Jetstream... can you help me? Thank you in advice :)

I'm glad you got there in the end mate and importantly.. you found the effort was worth it:encouragement:

The chap who did the captcha questions is a fan of both the Belfast and pretty much all things RAE hence the VC10 question. There was only one VC10 ever painted up in an RAE scheme so it was never going to be an impossible question to answer.

Sri you had the hassle getting in but glad you made it;)

A quick trip around Mounts Bay.

Jetstream T-2 XX488 562, leaves RNAS Cludrose for an early morning 'instruments check' flight. She is welcomed by the 'old tiddy oggie'; coming up over the 'yard arm'! (That's the sun rises over the horizon, for those not in the know!); and returns, passing St. Michael's Mount.

No new flightsim purchases this Christmas (it's a first) so had to search around to find something I'd not flown in ages. I honestly didn't think this trip would take long but I never factored in winds aloft at well over 90kts. Can't remember if the model burns a bit heavy but it seemed to. Had to take on fuel twice!!
