• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

FSX Screenshots Here!!

The wake is fine on Ark Royal. Not noticed it off-centre before.

You get more of an off-centre effect on conventional carriers with angled flight decks. There's always a temptation to fly down the wake which is the wrong place to be!:biggrin-new:

No such problem with Ark V;)
ATB
DaveB:)

To be fair in the case of the I class you are supposed to fly parallel to the wake on approach, its just that when you get alongside you find the ship is sailing a few degrees off to port from the direction she is pointing.

One of the numerous Air Shows in the 80s. Small airfields those days invite attractive guests, also military as for example static (Chinook) or flying displays (Harrier).

Sorry, just a few more while drying my tears of memories....

Dave, this is ETSB Hahnweide in southern germany, a small glider airfield nearby Stuttgart. As usual, lots of small airfields hosted airshows once a year. Mostly helicopters - and for sure - the Harrier, because of the way to use short or no runways.
I added some library objects and a few models of the coming RAF Gutersloh scenery to get an Air Show feeling.
It's fun to fly at small Air Shows, because you have no complicate starting procedures, short distances to fly and you can do flights with lots of different aircraft and helicopters...

Having a bit of fun messing with a B29...
