Struggling to cruise alt over the vast expanses of canadian nothingness. That flight turned into a close call since I miscalculated the required fuel (seems to be a common occurrence in central Canada) and taxied in with less than 100 lbs remaining.

OT but kinda related saw a Sea King on the back of a low loader heading down the A30 in Cornwall today as i was on the way to work, didn't get chance to get a pic though!!

There is nothing better, although the Sailing bit was reference to a BBC TV series from 1976/77 about the Ark Royal (admittedly not the one in my pic!), but you probably have to be from the UK and of a certain age to have got it.................

A blast from the past indeed I was at NATO in Portugal when it aired for the first time so missed it. I gather my mom wasn't very impressed by the behaviour of some of the matelots onboard. She would ask my dad 'Our David doesn't behave like that does he?'. Can't remember if my dad said I did or I didn't but whatever, my mom would have disregarded what she didn't want to hear. Good old moms
