FSX Screenshots Here!!

What do the different red/black victory markings symbolize? Bombers v. Fighters? I'm curious!

Walter, I wish I knew :icon_lol:

I have compared the list with Galland's victories with the red and black markings om the rudder, but I could not discover any logic behind it. The nationality is given by a small marking above the bar. It does not indicate the difference between single or twin engined aircraft, as among Galland's first 60 victories there are only a few Blenheims and Potez twin engined aircraft. It isn't showing the difference between bombers and fighters, like it has no connection with the unit he flew in or which rank he had at the moment of the kill. As I said I don't have a clue!
:isadizzy:

I know Galland flew several Bf109Es, perhaps the colours indicate which kill was mad with which aircraft, but I do not have sufficient information to check that. I only know that this must have been has last Emil, before he received his converted Friederich

But as I indicated below the screenshots I did this repaint after a profile made by Vladimir Kamsky. I think I found the pictures he based his profile on, but according to me the real pictures which shows the rudder only contain black kill marks.

Cheers,
Huub

Another spectacular repaint, Huub! Definitely looking forward to it!

I've been doing some spring warbird flying lately, and here are a few shots of a Texan - a 600 hp hot rod, as the pilots in training felt when transitioning into it.

Some Skyraider shots. This will always be one of my family's favorite aircraft - sitting not too far from me is a neat little angle measuring device (still with its original box) that my grandmother used while working for Douglas in the late 40's, working in the manufacturing/assembly of tail units for Skyraiders.

Skyraiders ... Two movies .. The Bridges at Toko-Ri and The Flight of the Intruder , that were i remember the Skyraiders so well and in publications , the well known A-1H 'Firebird' setting out on a mission 1st April 1970 .<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

John, love the Skyraider! You've inspired me to saddle her up again! :D

here's a few from this afternoon - first time actually getting to fly for "fun" in a while!

Incredible screenshots, Rick, thank you for posting them! The last one would be a great one for 'box art' for a video game or model kit.

Here are some more shots of mine from another recent flight with 'February', doing some civilian Mustang flying. I was using 'real world weather' and the clouds were really impressive, though I spent a lot of time skirting around the rain they were producing.

Thanks for the reply, though! I wouldn't have thought of all those possibilities! I guess it'll just remain a mystery for now.
