FSX: The 1940 Fokker T.5 bomber released

Thanks guys, good to read!

A. Ludick made a nice repaint of the 857 in the early tricolor roundels. Reason enough to make a formation flight with another red-white-blue Fokker: the D.21.

I will ask if he will upload the repaint!

:jump: Dutcheeseblend, I just wish to echo the many great sentiments expressed on this forum. I'm running your model on FSX-A boxed and Have no issues that haven't been reported. Your attention to detail in the visuals, the sound, and the handling is extraordinary. It handles like one would expect a big heavy aircraft to fly. I'm truly enjoying this grand ole bird and she is such a joy to fly. Thank you for a wonderful gift and I'm sure you're glad your baby is finally flying. Your sense of dedication is unparalleled. Thank you, kind Sir.. and may you and your family experience a very Happy New Year. Terry

Hello Dutcheeseblend,
-Thank you again for this superb machine!:applause:
I find that the reflections in the cockpit windows are too pronounced, would it be possible to have a version without these reflections or attenuated reflections?
Thank you in advance!

Nice repaint, hope it gets uploaded somewhere!

A prototype silver repaint would be nice as well (Even though the production model slightly differs from the prototype.)

Hi Alain,

Thanks for your comment!
I have a few questions:
1. What sim are you using it in?
2. Could you post an image showing how you perceive it?

Thanks!

Hi Ferry, yeah, but I've hear rumors someone is making the prototype paint indeed!:jump:

Hello Dutcheeseblend,

I am using FSX SP2. (Windows 7)

-In fact, the reflections circled in yellow are disturbing (for me) as soon as the plane tilts or climbs, for example!
It's not very serious, it's just that I find these reflections (defects in the glazing of planes) annoying and not too realistic (again, for me !!)
Also, if it is possible to obtain these windows without these reflections, that would be very satisfactory to me! Once again it doesn't matter, the whole plane is a marvel!:applause:
Thanks again!

Alain

Hi Alain,

Well, I guess it's a matter of taste :engel016: but anyway reflections in FSX aren't what they should be. The interior shows the same reflection map as the exterior, and I didn't really bother to create custom reflection visuals for the interior. There are so much windows, also.
No promises, but I'll see what I can do with the next release.

Any progress on resolving the dead radio issue?

No, not yet, Tom.
I've decided to not release a hotfix but instead release a V1.2 or anything like that.
And on the other hand, I've got a few other projects going (listing only the ones that are related directly to this):
- Fokker S.14 sim
- Fokker D.23 sim
- Fokker G.1 sim
- Noorduyn NA-27 sim (lite)
- D.21 229 fate movie
- MSFS migration
- ...

...and a 41-hr job next to that. So I need to make choices and addressing it in a later stage (at least before the summer) helps quite a lot.

I'm sorry, but this is what it is.:engel016:

Regards,

Daan
