• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Golden Age Simulations FSXA/P3D Models Freeware on SOH

Aharon, your turn will come! To make sure that the server did not get overloaded the Staff decided to do a staggered release program. The first members to get access (after the Staff) were this year's and last year's 'Charter Members' i.e. the people who actually donated money to keep this site open and available to everyone. Think of it as a big 'Thank You' for donating to support the site. The next level was 'Charter Members' from any year, i.e. anyone who ever donated, from any year, got access. The next level will be your level, 'Members +' and the basic 'Registered' members, i.e. the people who are registered on the site but don't pay to keep it running. We are expecting to open up the final level of access either later this evening or tomorrow (depending on server loads) and then you should see the entire ' Golden Age Simulations' category in the Resources Library (in the column on the left of the page as the fourth entry down).

Paul, Thanks for giving many hours with your creations. I bought every one of your airplanes (42) for FSX. I am staying with FSX

at 83 years old I don't wish to purchase a new computer so I can run the new simulators. I got the bug for the old airplanes on a visit to Old Rhinebeck years ago.

Thank you and the GAS team for all the gems. Thought I had gotten them all over the years but missed a couple which I have now. Still enjoy FSX, P3D and FS2004. The old timey airplanes are special, maybe another will slip thru the hanger door someday.

Regards and thanks again.

Thank you Paul and Gil for nice surprise! Nothing much happening on the FSX front, so this is really much appreciated!

Too much to choose from, we're spoiled! I tried the Stearman 4E (a real classic), the Pitcairn Autogiro (good fun) and the Ryan PT-22 (one of the latest one released I suppose? Cockpit is fantastic and full of eye-candy just how I like it).

Yea the PT-22 was the last developed. I had hoped that it would one day be converted to a MSFS 2020 model so much detail was added to that end. Alas it was not to be. Perhaps one day some other talented dev will use the models and a source to do just that.

Hi all
Each year that we have been in business we have tried to provide some way of thanks for the support shown us over the years. As many of you know we have ceased development but still wanted to recognized the forum and it members. To that end I have been working with your admins to place all of our FSX and P3D models in the SOH resource depository. They may be found in the Golden Age Simulations folder in the forums "Resource" location. These models are offered "as is" there is no tech support. They may be modified as the user desires as long as they remain freeware and Golden Age Simulations is credited as the developer of the source files.
The admin team, in order to prevent surges on the server, will be doing a staggered roll out as defined below. The number of days before the next group can download will be dependent on continued server load or number of downloads per day. Any questions regarding access should be directed to them.

GAS
Well this is sad news that no new GAS models will be forthcoming but at least they will not be lost! As I am from Oshkosh I fly almost exclusively out of KOSH and your models are perfect for flying out of the EAA Museum's Pioneer Airport

GAS is a great bunch of folks. When my HD crashed a few years ago and I lost my entire FSX Paul quickly provided me with download links for all the planes I had previously purchased. Thank you for making your products available to us as freeware. :encouragement:

New content has been added to our resource folder today, the Classic WACO package, the Douglas Dolphin, WACO F package and the Curtiss Robin. Enjoy!

The FSX "Native" version of the Model 40 is now available in GAS resources. All gauges are functional not adjustments are required. Enjoy!

Thank you, Paul!

Could someone tell me what the file size is for the Ryan B-5 package? Our file library gives no indication how big the downloads are.

Thank you!

Mark:)

The GAS Douglas RD-4 Dolphin Rover comes with two seaplane bases deserving Catalina Island from Long Beach. Try it with Aerosoft Catalina X and/or BlueSkyScenery California (LA area). Many hours of great flying! Merci!
