Gorgeous Paul Foster Vulcan B.2s

lets see low level.... well take your pick of 3.... Red Flag, Green flag or Giant Voice :icon_lol:

but yeah i do enjoy the famous 'Vulcan Howl', in fact theres several planes i love for the noise... F-104, F-16, Mirage 2000 (Anyone care to guess where i last heard all those 3 on one single day?) :icon_lol:

Back to Vulcan..... got the model installed, gotta finish a few other bits before i move onto her....:salute:

Oooh! I like that red one......red, red.

(icon:Mr Smoothie's embarresed cough before an important announcement:icon)

It was operation Red Flag.

Thanks there Matt. :salute:

yeah remember reading about the old bombing competitions in 'Vulcan 607', people on the viewing platform on the Grand Canyon watching a vulcan tear along below them :icon_lol:

Smoothie, Andy: I knew you two would have the gen, thanks for remembering.

Makes you proud doesn't it? :salute:

sure does, even us Greeks have a flair at Red Flag....

The American US Air-force had never ever lost Red Flag (Apparently) but all this changed when the Greek pilots of the Hellenic Air-force appeared first time 2008. The US Air-force pilots got some very humble lessons from the Greek testosterone fueled pilots. The US Air-force lost and never that bad. The kills between Greece:US was an astonishing 17-3 kills in favor of Greece. In 2011 the Greek Air-force came top in all NATO Air-force with Greek pilots voted the best for a third consecutive time...

not surprising really considering that they get scrambled near daily to go chase off some Turks.... :icon_lol:

Yep! And its often in my neighbourhood.

Those boys can FLY!

If I may recall the comments made here relating to the Lightning, I believe this to be an undeservedly neglected subject for FS.
Just imagine what the likes of Dave Garwood or Kirk Olsson could do with this fine subject. The mind wants to boggle!

Perhaps Smoothie or Andy would like to tell you about WWWOLS sometime...:salute:

'When We Was On Lightnings' :icon_lol:

unfortunately i've never seen these beauties fly, my grandfather on the other hand used to work on the engines in the things... i seem to recall him saying about wing guards due to that wing being (and in his words) "Bloody Sharp", the AS Frightnings are ok but could do with a.... i'm going to shut up before i create more work for myself :icon_lol:

Nigel knows them boys can fly.... straight off the sea and up the Valley where he is.... knocking blossom off ones trees in the spring/early summer.... *Coughs* not my fault!
