Okay, the most important missing feature from 2020 is now available for 2024: Got Friends Man's Best Friend Deluxe puts your pups (and a sad tiny selection of cats) back in the cockpit.

In 2024, you have a choice of human copilot, or animal copilot. I'm okay with that, given the weirdness of MSFS default avatars.
Just sad that GF is such "dog guys" that they think 5 varieties is an acceptable selection of cats. That said, having driven with cats in the car, probably a bit risky having them loose in the cockpit.
There's a version for 2020 as well; obviously the free one's available for that sim, but this adds new features (more animals, custom positioning).
