First post on the new SOH.org website and really happy to hear that SOH is still up and running strong. Strangely enough, although I'm showing as a "New Member" on this new .org site, I was actually a member on the old SOH.com website for several years and made posts there as well as having downloaded dozens of aircraft and scenery packages over the years.
I'm an "old timer" in sim flight as well as in real life. Recall having played Flight Simulator II on an old Commodore 64 back in mid-80s, then having moved on to a more "modern" PC, running MS-DOS 6.0 I moved up to MS Flight Simulator which if I recall correctly, came on seven (7) 5.25" floppy disks! Eventually, as time and computers passed, I moved to FS9 (still have the original 4 CDs in their metal case) then FSX, FSX-SE and just recently XPlane 12. I still have FS9, FSX-SE and Xplane12 all loaded and running great on my new gaming desktop. Having purchased just about every payware aircraft developed for FS9 and FSX, its hard to part with these 2 great sims. Big step, moving on to XP12. These days, I spend my time playing FSEconomy and have been a member there since January 2014. Still fly my FSX (and FS9) Beech 18, originally downloaded from the old SOH website, along with several other great freewares.
Oh! And while I'm thinking of it, yes I do still have my good old CFS3 Combat Flightsim game tucked away in its original CD folder. Haven't played that game in years. Can anyone advise if CFS3 still runs under Win11?
