Grumman F3F-2

Same hear about the no clickable cockpits, except for one aircraft... my beloved Stearman! With its simplistic cockpit it's no biggie. Sad to say the Howard 500 is a no go. But hey... Manfred's C-47 filles the gap for me! :adoration: Works beautifully in P3D2. Has great sound too!!! :biggrin-new:

Well, at least for the Howard you can still use the native FSX one. Unfortunately, it's made from the early models, not the latest one you worked on. But it's better than nothing ;)

Somewhere hiding in the bowels of the Out House is a FDE I did for this plane in FSX, flew it on one of our London Melbourne races.

Is someone interested to make a test flight in FS x? I made a MDL for FSX but haven’t any experience with the whole FSx setup I use the “DeHavilland_Beaver_DHC2” as a first startup to convert the model, I only transferred the CFS2 contact point’s to the aircraft. So any help from FSx and FS2004 user would be very welcome.

The model itself is still in the building process and it will still take a while to get it ready, but the outer parts are almost ready. There is no Virtual cockpit and no blurred prop in the moment.

Hi Friends,
I'm desperately searching for the FS2002/FS2004 AH F3F You are using in FSX, I downloaded somewhere (I don't remember) the CFS2 version, but it is useless in FSX (the plane doesn't appears) :banghead::banghead:. I searched everywhere for the "Flying Barrel" I saw recently in a 1940's movie (Flight Command, with Robert Taylor). Can You help me (or, better, send me the package You have with "WeTransfer" or similar) ?

:wavey::wavey:

After e-mailing Aeroplane Heaven about that airplane, they responded by saying that sadly their work was lost over time and that it had been relegated to freeware status and had been uploaded to flightsim dot com by several individuals. However after running every known search all I came away with were several livery packages but not the full model. They did state that the aircraft will be updated to current standards but it is well down on the list and not something that we'll see any time soon.

Since it is freeware, it would be nice if someone who has the full package would be kind enough to upload it.

One note on this, actually that airplane is still being sold on at least one website despite Aeroplane Heavens response that it was moved to freeware status.

It was available as freeware for a good amount of time on Aeroplaneheavens old website, so it is unambiguously freeware. I have the original installer (in fact, I have original installers for all of the old AH freeware, including the Global Flyer), but I'd like clear permission from Bazzar before I upload.

You can always edit a CFS2 Model to work in FSX

IF IT IS

MDL8
( there are MDL2,MDL610 and others too)

Change the word CFS2 in the MDL file to FS90 and erease everything in front of RIFF-->that works in FSX

Then you need a proper air file and aircraft cfg

Until someone who has the package for the freeware version releases it, I have one I'm flying in P3D_v2.5. It is Kazunori Ito's version that I've modified with new textures I did and new sounds that I found online that were part of a package of liveries for the AH F3F. I'll preface that statement with this one: I'm way less picky than most and this does have some problems (VC is not clickable and it's difficult to taxi) however, it looks and flies very well so if anyone is needing one for P3D and doesn't mind those quirks let me know and I'll package up what I have and post a download link. I will also mention that in this version of the sim, the prop and canopy transparency problems inherent with FSX do not exist.

er, why not send him a pm, he is a member here after all.
Its what I did to get permission to upload the flypast trio :)

My Gulfhawk and fictional Blackhawk textures are still at Flight Sim, haven't found the others? All use to be here.

Cazzie that's the link I got in the e-mail from AH and it doesn't work....just says no results. When I searched online in flightsim.com all I found were liveries. The weird part is the description read as though it was the full plane...almost like the aircraft itself had been removed from the file leaving only the liveries.
