Hey HarleyMan,
Just a heads up, there is a very basic game out at Wallyworld (Walmart) right now called 'Sid Meirs Railroads'. Its a small disc package, $9.95, and a bit old now.
But.. Its about trains and its been some fair fun late at night when I cant sleep.
You have to start a railroad length of track and start interlinking cities and towns and factories and farms to the cities. The difficult mode is very hard money wise (start with a limited budget and make it work), and easy mode is pure fun, making tracks and trying to integrate train circuits to run next to each other (doubling and trippling tracks inside city area's).
If you are board and have $10.00 to spend, you might like to check it out, but remember, its not 'extreme' in detail like MSTS. Its almost a kids strategy game, like a city sim if you would....
