Hellcat

Ian W: Ian P had the correct info for this carrier control addon. It allows you to (if that is the way you would like to do it) position the ships with respect to your current location if you desire, and also has a reference as to where they are from you at any given time.

As to colors, I was always under the impression that the color used in the USN tri tone paint (my favorite) was Nonspecular Sea Blue. Warbird restorations are always a poor guide as they are invariably painted in some modern gloss paint like IMRON. Color photography from the era is a poor guide and the paints did weather quickly in the tropical conditions. Somewhere I remember getting some reference paint chips when I was scratch building ships of the era.

Nice work! T.

I uploaded all three on avsim, as it was not possible on the outhouse.
Happy flying, and let me know what you think please?

AVSIM seems to be having some kind of problems. Files don't seem to get added to the library.

If I can get hold of them, with permission of course, I can always add them to our Hellcat page for everyone to download and use.

It seems to be working on all fronts! So available soon, hopefully...

Ah, well its no rush.
Just thinking now that ive tried the repaint and gotten a good look at in in proper lighting and angles, that the dark blue could be a bit more..blueish, closer to the navy markings on the plane. ;)
Otherwise its great :)
