Help with MJ C-47!

The Antenna wire has disappeared on the Air Rescue Sevice textures I am working on. The antenna posts are present on the top fuselage and tail, and the pitot masts are all present but the antenna wires are gone, as in not there. I've tried changing models and reloading the textures; removing and reinstalling the config entry; comparing my textures with others and fresh textures for the repaint set, but no joy. I could be wrong but aren't the antenna wires usually hard coded in the model and usually not mapped as a texture?

NOTE: the antenna wires are all present on all the other texture sets including the ones issued with the model as well as others added from other authers!

Any thoughts as to what to do next?

Thanks,
Steve

They are often textured, using a gray alpha channel to make them semi-transparent. Perhaps you've darkened the alpha channel in that area of the texture, making them fully transparent?

Back up your textures, then replace your textures in that livery's folder with ones from another livery that displays the wire. Reload the textures each time, until the antenna wire re-appears. Then you'll know which texture it's on.

Thanks Tom. I thought it might have to do with an alpha but had not clue how to find it. I'll give it a try. :salute:

Well Tom, I checked the suspected alpha and that was it! I had created a new prop alpha and the antenna is in that alpha! So much for a new prop alpha!

Thanks very much for the help, Tom. :salute: :salute:

Steve

UPDATE: New Prop Alpha! I had totally not noticed a pair of small rectangles in the "stock" prop alpha texture which, after closer inspection, turned out to be the antenna wire alpha texture area! Thanks again to Tom Gibson for pointing me in the right direction!
