HKRE Nairobi Eastleigh 1955-1962 - Military and civil traffic and scenery for RAF Eastleigh, Kenya for 1955-1962

RAF Eastleigh was the Nairobi airport used also used by civilian airliners until 1958, when it was replaced by Embakasi (HKJK), in 1978 renamed Jomo Kenyatta. It still exists as the Kenyan Moi Air Base. This scenery recreates it as it was between 1955 and 1962 and has the files necessary to re-route there the California Classic civilian traffic for 1955 and 1957. Military traffic is provided for 1955, 57, 59 and 62. By Ken Lawson and Al Von Pingel

The Venoms included in the package appears like this...... is it just me and I've missed some instruction, or is it a known feature of this model..

Open FS9.cfg and search for [FrameCallNoWarn]. There it must be an entry like "Venom FB1=0". Change 0 to 1. Up to now I couldn't install the scenery and aircract, but I know this issue form earler installaton.

Thanks Bernard for that solution to the problem. On my system it was working perfectly fine, On Ken;s system he had the same problem as well as some other aircraft like the JY Meteor wouldn;t display at all for him amoung others. Just checked my FS9.cfg and sure enough, it had Venom FB4=1. It also had Venom FB1=0 which I when I tried to use that model for the 1955 traffic it displayed no wheels so I did not use it when they really should have been present, now I know why. These are FS2002 models with updated .air and .cfg upgraded by Bob Chico. I am not even aware of how these entries end up in the FS9.cfg.

Perhaps you have a solution to another problem, the Bristol Sycamore Helicopter, another 2002 model. While it works perfectly fine when used as a flying model, it will not display at all as an ai model. I have even swapped out .cfg and .air for the S-55 Sky ai set up and it still will not display as ai so it seems the issue is in the model and the ai engine does not like it. The Sycamore should have been part of this package but had to be left out. I should also be part of many packages coming that Ian, Kalle and I are working on but alas, it won't display.

Hi Al,

Topic "Sycamore": often tried, never got it as AI. And that since years. Without really being pretentious, I brought a lot of helos in the airas AI. The Sycamore and the Soviet Mil Mi-12 are are the ones that really give me trouble.. Sorry for not being able to present a solution.

Thanks, maybe someone who sees this might have a solution. At least now my Venom FB1 now works thanks to your solution above
