How do I place my media pictures in a thread?

Before the change to the current server, the media used to provide a URL to copy to the thread. I can't find that URL now.

The threads now provide a way to add a picture directly from my computer. It shows up as a full image followed by a smaller version below the large image.
Do those images remain with the thread for the life of the thread or do they disappear when I logoff or exit SOH?

It's in the same place as the option to upload from your own computer. Select the 'Insert image' icon (the single image icon) or press (CTRL+P) and you will see a small window with two tabs. The left-hand tab is the default option to upload a file from your computer, either drop the image onto the box or click in the box once to navigate to the file you want to upload. Selecting the right-hand tab (hovering over the chain link icon will show the label 'By URL') will allow you to paste the URL for the image you want to upload.

Any image(s) that you uploaded from you own computer stay with the post on our forum server and will remain there unless you physically edit your post and delete the image(s) or until a Staff Member removes them if required. If the image is linked from an online URL it will stay with the forum post unless the host site no longer has the file or goes offline (as was the case with lots of images hosted by 'Photo Bucket' years ago).
