HU! JR Lucariny cleaning house.

Seems to be a fair few of JR Lucariny' s models appearing over at Simviation.
Looks like he's having a bit of a house clearance.

The ones I've noticed have all been released before, some of them years ago, though perhaps not on SimV. Curious...

He's controlled distribution on a lot of his models (if not all) by way of a forced donationware system on his website for a few years. Assuming he's doing the uploading looks like he's easing up on that a bit?
:ernae:

Most of these come without VCs, right?

Okay, considering the sheer number of models he made, it would be a small miracle if JRL had taken the extra steps to create VCs.

The JRL P2V-5 and -7 are nice aircraft if you like P2V's but not enough to purchase the AlphaSim/Virtavia payware bird. :)

Just downloaded that one myself, its a very nice model if you can fly without a VC :icon29:
cheers ian

Ian, thanks, I should've mentioned no VC for folks who hadn't grabbed JRL's planes before. :redf: It was late when I posted, LOL.

I'm just thankful he took the time to create these aircraft for the community, no VC isn't the end of the world so thanks for the update TARPSbird

There's more. I just came from Simviation and he has uploaded another group of his models there... :isadizzy:

Thanks for mentioning this.

Don't worry, VC-less models at least make great AI aircraft.

Ever since someone posted how to make the interior of a non-VC aircraft visible I've changed JR and Mike Stones birds so that I could look out the windows and see the wings and engines. For me that is great. Many of these models have great fidelity to scale. I'm glad to have them.

Normb,
would you remember where that is posted, I would luv to make the interiors visible .

Dave

To make visible VC

To make visible the VC you need to open the model file with a Hexadecimal editor , find the string "68 00 02" and replace the 02 by a 03 and save changes. then go to aircraft file and adjust the view point.
I´m showing the Lucariny Fi 167-02 V.cockpit .

Normb, I am also interested in how to do this. Can you provide a link to a previous thread? Or if you already have the procedure down, pls post a how-to here.

So does this infer that he has VC's in all his aircraft, but simply chose not to make them usable?
