There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I would tend to agree when it comes to a finish such as ADC gray but if you look at tactical paint scheme's....they are truly another case. I'd sy that USAF jets, especially those that were painted ADC, white, or any NON combat type were always maintained in high standard. think thats why we in the NAVY called the USAF guys, wingwipres....lol......anyway.....As to weathering...I happen to love weathering on the appropriate aircraft alot as I use it alot on my repaints, and would be glad to show the true weahering on and paint touch ups on the real thing. I think one of the reasons I like the weathering on most planes is because without it the aircraft would be very plane and in sim you would miss out on the shapes and angels of the aircraft without seeing the panel lines and rivets to add to it.
Call me a weirdo, but I'd love to see one in QF-106 guise. In the early 90's during my first years at Hurlburt Field, the manned Sixes' would do pattern work there once in a while. Nothing like hearing that burner hard light each go. That is how I remember them.

Good idea. I'll do a QF-106 used for pilot training, it will be my last one.
Owen.
PS: you WEIRDO!
