....a new joy for me during the prop period of commercial aviation. I recently got a copy of Pilot's B314 and have been enjoying it. I have found you really have to have your head about you when you are flying low over the ocean at night. My thumbs up go to the guys at PAA who flew the flying boats all over the world. It was a shave the "Clipper" service only lasted for about 15 years.

The Consolidated Commodore was used by Pan American to service the Caribbean and South America. It began revenuer service around 1933 to these areas.

The success of these first flights lead Pan Am to venture in even further distances. They set up a global network of operations. they set up massive operational bases around the world. To service.....

If you want some indurance flying. Then these are the birds for you. You have to watch them carefully keep them in balance. or they will get away from you. the flights these birds flew could last up to a full day.

I am loving the challenge of navigation over the ocean.

Another one used on feeder routes by Pan Am was the Sikorsky S43 "Baby Clipper". Bill Lyons did a nice one that's in his Golden Hawaii pack with both Pan Am and Inter-Island Airways (forerunner of Hawaiian Airlines) liveries. I really need to break it out of the hanger and fly it some more. It was one of the first payware aircraft I ever bought and still one of my favorites. It was released as freeware some time back.
