i have checked now, the engine rpm works well...i have toggle off gas and it moves to zero especially if you fly on level...the booster gau has a problem i hope to solve soon.

The freeware Dragon Rapide already available will, I suspect, limit your market a little for the former. I'd suggest the Peashooter, personally... or the Pitts...

for unknowed reasons we sold always much more aircrafts that exist also on two or three freeware versions, bytheway our version includes also a military dragon version with bombs

tonight i have spoken on msn with a videomaker well knowed here...soon there will be videos about pitts, gamma and gladiator.
 
Hi Icarus,

This is the first product I bought from you and I must say I'm very pleased with the Gladiator (about time someone did a good version of it):applause::applause:. I hope you don't mind the following observations:

- the speed indicator seems a bit optimistic. According to it, I was doing nearly 240 knots at 5000ft level with 75% power (GPS and the menu bar said I was actually doing about 168 knots):isadizzy:. Max speed for a Mk. I (according to the book I have) should be around 253 mph at 14.500 ft.;

- the RPM indicator moves, but I have to throttle way back before it falls beneath the max RPM as shown on the gauge;

- minor thing: when I open the canopy, the "side entrance" opens with it. Would it be possible to just have the canopy open and another keystroke/animation for the side entrance (like Shift-E-2)? No biggie if it is too complex.

- my last observation is a bit personal, but I find the engine sounds a bit annoying, especially on low RPM. I don't know how a real Mercury engine sounds and I understand the real sounds may be very hard to come by. Maybe someone else with more knowledge could comment on it?

Please don't get the impression that I don't like the aircraft. I very much do and it has certainly peaked my interest in your other forthcoming projects:ernae:.

re engine sounds: why is it so loud from the front, and so quiet behind (the exhaust)?
 
Great repaints, JanKees:applause:. I hope you will upload them:redf:. Any chance you might do the Gladiators that were in service with the Baltic States, Egypt, Iraq and Greece?

I've been waiting for more than a year now for Mushroom to release the new book by Alex Crawford on the Gladiator:banghead:.
 
Aileron and rudder

I've toned down the Aileron and Rudder effectiveness but that's easy to do for oneself. I've adjusted the vc light to appear in the cockpit but I'd love to get the co-ordinates for the nav lights and the aft light.

So far it's just such a pleasure to fly for those of us like me who are desparate for some good vintage warbirds:ernae:

How do you tone down the aileron and rudderd...I forget.

answers jojohnson9, there is the new patch with adjustments on rudder light vc and an error on some title ...oxigen instead of oxygen...if you login again on your account you will see a note with the link on your view order history.

lawman you can make observation no problems..i m aware of some little problems...i am working to resolve some as better i can in the next days. so there will be a new patch soon.
 
I don't think anyone works harder to satisfy their customers than icarus does.

Looks like we have a steady stream of aircraft to look forward to and all with determined service to back them up - what more can you ask for.

Even the prices are right.

i was just at the phone with the gladiator modeller and seems in the last version something goes wrong with the modifies to the model...there are something that works on his version and not in our..i am just checking , if i discover the problem a new patch there will be today. i am looking inside the aircraft.cfg or the airfile that should be the problem.

Do you think you could consider a model without the specular shine? It's fine with the metal ones, but I think the camouflaged aircraft would look a lot better without the shine.

yes that is possible after 7 genuary and other modeller back at full work...good news i find 2 of the errors you reported...it was just the aircraft.cfg modified that has created the problem...i m working on something that will include some new modifies, DEFINITIVELY there will be out a new patch today, also fastness will be modified as reported. After This i will start modifies for the boost gauge and the gunsight texture(not sure on this last one if i can modify)
