I do love my BLT's. Until I got married and my wife mastered the art, my personal favorite BLT's were the ones they served on the Santa Fe Railroad's dining cars. I had 'em whenever we took the train to visit my great-aunt. That was way back before Amtrak, when food was still prepared to order on the trains and microwaves were still 15 years in the future. My fave was a fresh 'bacon, lettuce, and tomato' sandwhich with hot, crispy bacon in there on white bread with cold slices of tomato. yummmmmmo!!!!! :d
Bacon . . . drool!!!
Love BLTs

I remember years ago, when my Swedish penpal came out to visit me. Her and her friend Eva had never heard of 'peanut butter and jelly' sandwhiches, lol... We had a picknick at a park by the Grand Canyon. I picked up some bread, peanut butter, jelly, and made sandwhiches at the park. It was totally new to them. I think they said it reminded them of a certain something like a morning strudel.
Here we (in America) were raised on those in grade school (long ago, box lunches), a staple component of our diets, lol..
