Also, how can you speed up the flight time?

From MSFS forum:
Go to your control settings and find ‘Increase sim rate’ and ‘decrease sim rate’ and assign keys. I use [ and ].

Be aware though, there is no on screen notification of what x speed you’re flying at. Don’t try to land at 4x sim rate…

Might be handy to install the SHIFT-Z mod:

F-35 MINOR PROJECT UPDATE
********************************
The latest iteration of the F-35 (1.1.0) had a couple of issues that needed to be addressed immediately. Namely, the autopilot did not work that well with the new flight model and the TACAN was not working anymore.

We have just released version 1.1.1 to all vendors which should solve/mitigate those issues.
In particular, autopilot RTE HOLD now seems to work as advertised, whille the APP HOLD is not reliable yet. The aircraft still exhibits oscillations on the roll axis when AP is engaged in some cases, but they should be much more limited than in 1.1.0.
The package is still not where we'd like it to be in terms of quality and completeness, but we hope we are making some progress.

CHANGE LOG:
1.1.1
1-Aug-22
- Fixed bug preventing TACAN bearing to show in some instances
- (PC only) Added "remove before flight" streamers and covers
- Modified autopilot logic for less erratic behavior with the new flight model
- Added Vermont ANG livery courtesy of Christoph Tantow
- (SU10 and above) HMD "Off-Boresight" symbology now must be selected by the user in the MENU
functions.

NOTE FOR XBOX AND MARKETPLACE USERS:
Given the problems with 1.1.0, we have stopped its release on the Marketplace and will go straight with 1.1.1. As usual, it may take 5-10 working days for Microsoft to test it.

MSFS F-35 VERSION 1.2.8
+++++
Following feedback from version 1.2.7 of our F-35 project, we have identified a couple of glitches that needed a fix ASAP.

In detail:
- the post stall controllability improvements causes some abrupt increase of rudder authority during landing approaches at very low speeds.
- we have introduced alternate STOVL-HOVER dynamics which *should* work better with moving ships, but maybe less accurate on static platforms/ships. You can select this feature in the MENU portal.

We also took the chance to introduce some new Dutch liveries (bringing the total to 68) and squadron patches.

Therefore we are releasing version 1.2.8 of the Lightning II, which should be available shortly, with the usual lead times.
This version is replacing 1.2.7 in the Microsoft certification process, so that Marketplace users will jump directly to 1.2.8.

Here is the full list of changes:

GENERAL
- Weapon bay light enabled also on -B and -C models
- Reworked post stall rudder authority
- Fixed missing HUD ladder on HUD formats on PC (missing file)
- Fixed minor bug on PCD-HUD page clock, showing 24:00:00 instead of 00:00:00
- Fixed minor bug on PCD-HUD page clock, showing Z even if local time was selected
- Fixed minor bug that caused NWS caption to appear on HMD with launch bar selected
- Added NWS and brakes indications to PCD/HUD full screen
- Added SAFE/ARM indication to PCD/HUD

F-35A
- Added Koninklijke Luchtmacht F-037 livery
- Added Koninklijke Luchtmacht F-028 livery
- Added Koninklijke Luchtmacht F-014 livery
- Added Koninklijke Luchtmacht F-019 livery
- Added 48th FW, 115th FW specific pilot patches

F-35B
- Added VMFA-225 specific pilot patch
- Added option to switch STOVL/HOVER dynamics model:
Default mode is better suited for static ships
Alternate mode should work better for dynamic ships

F-35C
- fixed minor bug preventing correct weapon bay textures to load
- minor fix to VFA-125 livery
- minor fix to VFA-97 livery
- added VX-23, VFA-125, VMFA-311, Top Gun specific pilot patches

QUICK UPDATES ON SEVERAL MSFS PROJECTS
+++++
Just a couple of notes on some of the projects we are working on...mostly to reply to some frequently asked questions we have received lately.

F-14 TOMCAT
Testing on Beta 3 is moving forward without major issues... but opportunities for small refinements.
We had a lot of fun developing it, but there is still a little work to do to get it right - at least for an initial release.
We have also been testing the Beta 3 build on XBox - and it seems to work really well.

TORNADO
We are continuing to push as hard as we can to release it within 2023... but it is not easy.
We have almost completed the graphics part of the front cockpit (it is 99.9% done, but we keep on finding small details we can improve) and we are moving forward with the rear cockpit textures.
We have a lot of work to do in terms of systems and flight modeling... but we are very happy of the quality level we have achieved so far.

F-35 LIGHTNING II
Some users are experiencing (new) weird issues with the autopilot/autothrottle features after the 1.2.8 update... for 1.2.9 we will roll back to the previous implementation (which was far from being perfect).
We are waiting for Microsoft to complete their tests on 1.2.8 before rolling out 1.2.9 to the other users.

INDIAFOXTECHO COMPANION PACKAGE
For those who missed the news, this is meant to be a collection of "experiments" we did in the past...including a Fire Scout model, a driveable deck tractor and an MQ-9 Reaper model - and this should also include the code to make weapons appear on Marketplace aircrafts.
The idea is to relase this for FREE...but we are not entirely happy with the quality of the material we have so far.

USS FORD/USS NIMITZ PACKAGE
While driving our tractor on the deck of the Nimitz we discovered a couple of minor glitches we'd like to fix... so there is a further update in the works. This will come with special deck configurations for the Tomcat.

QUEEN ELIZABETH
We still need to do more work on the escort ships... their level of detail is not where we'd like it to be.

All the other "active" projects (F-16, EUROFIGHTER, TA-4J and CAVOUR) are still being worked on - rest assured! - but they are likely to slip into 2024.
