Introducing the Avia 51

That sounds great! For those who use multiplayer, I would be happy to team up for visits to some great spots, great scenery, mountainous, and fun. :jump:

i'd be up for that, maybe every other week or something we RV somewhere and fly around, kinda like a flight club...

YES! Floats! :jump::jump: means i can get Ouzo to my island hideaway! :jump: excellent to see!

great job Team! :salute:

Oh buggar!! Quick, Nigel, we need to get this stash loaded into the Savannah Queen, before he figures out that it's missing...:pop4:. Yet I will second that note about "great job Team"

I would be game as well as long as it is Sundays ... The rest of the week I am usually on the road for work and Saturdays I play at the real airport with the real airplane :)

Cheers
Stefan

I'll set up a tentative schedule for Sunday mid-day roughly for the USA(maybe 15-1600 UTC?). That would allow our UK and Europe friends to join possibly, and our NZ friends won't be bothered by their spouses all snugged up in their beds ;-). I'll have a few nice reasonably short legs arranged that should be interesting and not too challenging. Anyone who wants to join may.

Abso-bloody-lutely flippin' marvellous beast.

You know you've downloaded a stunning aircraft when the missus insists on having some time alone with it :icon_eek: , she literally shooed me out of the room!
Thanks guys, the Avia's a work of art.

Sounds great Milton, I will need to look up which MP you guys here are using ...

LOL Thank you Sir; it was our pleasure.

Is the Sunday get-together an FS9 only event?

I feel sure that FS9 and FSX can intermix on our SOH Flight server although the typical nuances will apply. FSX requires FSHost software.

DangerousDave would be able to definitively answer that question though.

Yep, I've been sitting in with the regulars of the "Flight 19" group and while airports are regularly either mismatched across platforms or at the very least, the rwy's aren't aligned the same, but it hasn't caused any real problems. As per my PM, earlier, I adjusted the eyepoint, however the switches on the side panel are inop, although the starters (plungers) work fine. Switches on the main panel work fine as well. Nothing that would be a showstopper. Thanks again to the entire team for another masterpiece of modeling/sound/texturing, etc.:applause:

@Nigel

Further testing in the watertank now.

Using the "American" Cyclone set. The exterior view (blower?) whistle is bloody exsquisite. Did I not see/hear Polikarpov I-16 video from Wanaka, and one could clearly hear that....?

It's pure business. What a treat!!

ended up re-skinning most of the fuselage and nacelles for a more worn look,
and spent the best part of lastnight's lamp-oil bolting on a set of Wright 1820's.

Milton's done an outstanding job on the pontoons, so Ill be skinning them tomorrow.

Now,...back to work - a little engine testin' .......CLEAR!

That floaty Avia 51 will do very nice for my um shopping runs from Alaska to Yellowknife Water Aerodome. Shss Don't tell the Mounties about my shopping needs and aircraft habits, the canuk gulag doesnt provide beaver pelts:icon_lol: to keep ya warm.

The 51 and the 56 on floats are just awesome for the smaller parties and shopping sprees. The 57 now, that's for the bigger party, longer haul, upscale cargo, hunting, and fishing trips. :wiggle:

Well....looking at the screenshots you've posted, a wet suit just might protect me from my own drool....
...won't save the keyboard though...*zapp!!*

LOL!!!!!!

Oh SH--!!!!

...just sprayed me coffee all over the dang keyboard!!!
(second one in a month - Milton got the first one, a couple of weeks back).
