Iris C-27J inbound immenently....

iTS A VERY FUN PLANE TO FLY, IN REAL LIFE AS WELL AS HERE oR AT LEAST THATS WHAT EVERY PILOT REPORT IVE EVER READ SAYS.. (sorry for the caps,m finger slipped ).. Thats why so many of us have been quite passionate about it since its inception. You dont need pushback on this plane. those big props will do it for you.. Its got incredible short field capabilities and flies at almost 300 knots.. In so many ways, its a perfect aircraft. my only complaint with it was that it came mostly in grey.. such a boring color :;lol:; The Canadians have the right idea though. Bright fun wonderful yellow and orange.. sure beats grey in my book.. :).. I'm really liking that British transport too..
Pam

should check that FSRecorder file i sent you last night Pam of a quick Demo at CYHY, and i'd have to agree, not had this much fun with an aircraft in ages, even though i have to run FSX with darn near minimum sliders :icon_lol:

Now Matt Hay River isn't a challenge in my backyard of NWT lol. Try CZFN or Fort Good Hope.

oh i've been discovering that while practicing my flying for Buffalo Virtual, some of those strips are just nuts :icon_lol:

*Adds Buffalo paint to C-27J list* what? one can dream right? :icon_lol:

Pam, it's wonderful. Thank you for your contribution to the project.
Thank you David for such a wonderful addon to FSX. It is well worth the price.

I used to have a lot of fun with the Alphasim DHC-4 Caribou, [LINESTRIKE]abusing[/LINESTRIKE] landing it in backcountry strips.
But it never ported well enough for me, over to FSX, but I would pull it out of the hangar every now and then.
It was my "go to" plane when I had the time to do FS Economy runs.

Well, the Bou is officially retired now from my FSX hangar.
It would be hard to go back to it after flying "Chuck" all afternoon.
It's like a Super Bou, on massive amounts of steroids.
I really haven't had this much fun in quite a while.

Prolly need to check the landing gear and tires though.
That last stop was a doozy. :icon_lol:

Why not. Buffalo deserves a C27J paint as First Air has the CS130 and Canadian North the Ifly and PMDG NGX, fair is fair:salute:. Poor Poor air Tindi left in the Cold:icon_lol:. Pam was kicking around an idea of TWA.

Zsolt, there should have been a Hellenic C-27J in the pack, but David forgot about it...

on a note the rear window is not on the HAF C-27J's, as the HAF Operates the initial Block minus that window...

i'll upload the HAF HD paint in the coming days....

I have to come clean and admit that whilst i still think this is a bit over priced - it is one of the best over priced products i have purchased in the last 12 months. Well done done Smudge and team :applause::applause::applause:

Having a go at a camo version.

I just like David's Iris Simulations Logistics paint that I gave it Arctic character Ie NWT crest, Canadian Reg, and the name Yellowknife. The C27J just fit the Arctic like a glove.

Im making some progress with this repaint but can anyone tell me where i can find some good websites with USAF squadron insignia?

Barnes i use Wikipedia, if you do a search for USAF on there, scroll down to 'Major Commands (Force Structure)' click one, then click on any containing squadrons etc.... and you should get the badges etc... :salute:

Thanks - i will give that a go. :salute:

Looks very promising. I just have three quick question before my final decision:

- Does it come with a paint kit?
- If so, what's the resolution of the PSD files (1024x1024, 2048x2048, etc.; 2048* seems to be the norm nowadays)?
- Is the master fuselage/tail PSD included or do I have to create one myself?

Any help is appreciated.

-Yes :)

-1024x1024

-No (if you mean an "all in one"), you would have to create one yourself.
There are 5 .psd files all together.
Separate files for each side of the fuselage (Left/right), for each set of wing surfaces (left/right), and the tail.
