Iris F14 Last Tomcatters FS9

I don't have FS9 installed at the moment but I think I converted all the right textures and renamed some to work in FS9, let me know if it works.:ernae:

I just downloaded and installed the textures on my Iris F-14 for FS9 and the textures are great :applause:. One thing I should point out is that two of the textures files you included (glass_t and seats) are not in any of the texture folders that came with the F-14, so I did not use them. I was lucky enough to find a website that still sold the Iris F-14 for FS9, and just purchased it about two weeks ago. Thanks for a great repaint :ernae:.

I guess the texture called seats.bmp (the part with canopy and names of the pilots) is not showing, it's called something different in the FS9 version, why? I don't know, lol but it's causing problems. I guess if you can find the right texture and name the new seats.bmp to what it is, it should work right. Thanks All. :ernae:
 
Looks really nice BananaBob :jump: I'm doing the counting game, just looking at the Iris F-14B directory... hope that's the one. It already contains a texture set named texture.vf-31 - this texture folder contains a total of 57 BMPs. Two of those are called: seat_t.bmp and seats_T.bmp

Now for the renaming...:running:
 
I used my old skins to judge so maybe, seats.bmp just has to be named seats_T.bmp, might be the problem. Cheers. :ernae:
 
I think I just tried that- no difference will try again to make sure.
Am unable to view the BMPs... but adding seat_t.bmp from the original vf-31 texture set to yours will add the brownish looking "Persian Carpet" to the seat and around the base of the stick. The rest is still a mystery :kilroy:
 
I'll just install FS9 and try it, maybe should have done that first, lol :engel016:

That's REX or Real Environment Extreme for FSX, don't have FS9 installed right now, doing it today to find out why this F14 paint isn't working right in FS9.
 
Sorry BananaBob, haven't found the culprit yet. Have added a total of 17 BMPs but they're all VC related and some of the knobs and switches are still white. A difficult task for a non-painter.
 
I bet I forgot to flip that texture, will try that and post it here.
 
Thanks BB this is the file. You were right in the first place. To my untrained eye though the pilot's names appear to be flipped - compared it with the old one again... the old one of course doesn't have your nice texture. I am happy the way it is, thank you :icon29:
