JF/AH P-47 Thunderbolt is out!!

I doubt it - the modeller and beta testers would have been aware of it for ages and presumably decided it looked just fine. To be fair the new Carenado Beech 18 has a similar prop animation and no-one's even mentioned it.

P-47 Guns

Having trouble firing the guns. Manual says that there is a switch in the left rear of the cockpit to "charge" the guns, but when I engage it the gear comes down instead. Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks
Bud

The paints are up at avsim.com, together with the paints for the Carenado Beech.

Download them there and save this site's bandwidth!! ;)

Yes, agree with you. They must be aware.
Anyway watched
Carenado
promotional video (not going to buy it), and think prop animation different for the better than AH's. Prefer Carenado's but is just an opinion.
Anyway bought the P47 and apart that think it´s a very very good work.

One note...when landing tail wheel compresses and when braking tail lifts and wheel remains compressed…

Regards

Ahhh, good work. Well the Dottie Mae "restored" texture needs that badly. Way too bright.

Been loving the Jug. :loyal:

Anyone working on or planning more repaints? Jankees? dvj? :wiggle:

I'm hoping someone would take an interest in doing "Tallahassee Lassie". Any takers?? :encouragement:

Really, but it's horses of courses. It's like there is too much alpha channel and bumps. The non glossy paints are great.

Looks like it needs a Environment map with more color and contrast, and more light in the specular file, and slightly less reflection.

Is it fixable?

Yes. You can replace the environment map or alter it, and the spec file can be darkened (the spec alpha as well if possible). The alpha channel is only active on the interior model so don't waste time trying to edit that for the external. On the restored Dottie Mae the spec metal is white which is why it shines so much.

What stands out most for me are the red and yellow stripes/accents. They seem really washed out and almost semi-transparent.

The point of it all is that there is a paint kit. If people don't like certain aspects of a livery or texture effect, they can change it. It is all subjective. There is no "fix" per se. If you don't like the free liveries, don't download them.:engel016:
