JF F27 released! (29th April)

Hiya Zsolt,

Looking great!! Seems you have managed to get around some of the "mistakes" in the mapping of some fuselage parts ;-)

BTW seems your Friendship_FuseB_t, is missing it's spec and bump? Shows even in your screenshots...

Thx again for this repaint!

Marcel

You better should have mentioned that when posting that picture from Avsim and at least name the creator of that repaint.

NOW I DO LIKE THAT :encouragement:

Well, as far as I've tried out, the depicted area where the antennae pick their textures from is also used for the left-hand's cabin roof.
So if I paint the bottom aerials to match the fuselage's belly colour, I'll end up with a chunk of cabin top showing the same shade, which doesn't look too smart...

That's a real bummer, since there are several areas left on the texture map to pick the aerial textures from instead... :a1451:

Cheers,
Markus.

Markus I am having exactly the same problem. I have a green cabin top on the left side of a particular repaint I am attempting and for the moment I have left the belly aerials white.

Guys,that's not my job!
I just advertisement!

THanks for pointing them out then :)

Carsten did some more repaints:

Update from Just Flight

Hello Everybody. It’s Alex Ford from Just Flight again. I just wanted to post an update saying that we have started work on creating a service pack for the F27. We have read and will continue to read all of your feedback and where possible will incorporate it in the update, there are however a few things that are outside the scope of the product. When the SP is ready I will post a list of what’s been addressed. We have no date for the SP’s release yet and we will only release it when it’s fully ready.

In the meantime thank you for all your feedback, it’s great to see so many of you enjoying the F27 and we are especially enjoying all the great looking repaints that are appearing!

Thanks for this news, Alex!

Despite some niggling, this is still a true gem.
"Good is good, but better carries it", so I'm pretty much looking forward to the SP announced.
As I understood Bazzar, there'll also be some alterations concerning the texture mapping, so I should better wait with releasing my repaints.

You might also take the autopilot's coding to revision:
Seems to me like it doesn't hold the altitude too well, sinking with some tiny fpm instead. No big deal on short hops, but longer hauls by now do need some subtle climbs to maintain FL.
Is it just me?

Cheers,
Markus.

Hello Folks,
The more i flying this F27 the more i like:applause:
Hope an update in the new SP for the tracking Nav, VOR etc..
Thanks:ernaehrung004:

These will be remapped in the upgrade build to come.:engel016:

Will also this be fixed?:jump:

Also love to have 2 separate side-cockpit window textures, both sides share the same texture are the moment. Very difficult to make accurate cammo repaint cause of this.

Thx,

Marcel

No the real ones would do that, and drift off hdg too.
Out of our 3, only one retained the autopilot, it was removed on others, as spares became
scarce @ 1992!
(Flight directors stayed, autopilot control and servos were removed)

Maintaining altitude

So it's not a bug but a feature. :biggrin-new:
And a very accurate one too...

Good to know - thanks for this information!
It could be a good idea to mention this particular feature in the manual...

Cheers,
Markus.

KLU Fokker F27 Troopship

Hi everyone,

let me introduce myself - I am Carsten from Germany and as I found my Fokker Troopship advertised here yesterday I finally dared to post something :)

Thanks to Marcel's input I uploaded a revised version. The front port window is now correctly eliminated, the roundels moved and the wing walkline added.
I am not a repaint artist, rather did this one (and 3 more KLU F27s) for a Facebook friend, but I hope you like it :)

Cheers
Carsten

I found that if you activate the altitude hold on the lower A/P panel(pedestal) as opposed to the one on the main panel, it holds altitude almost perfectly.

The Troopship is technically a series 400 IIRC. Their display flying routine was legendary, I have a picture at home of one part way through a loop.
