Just Flight F4F Wildcat

Technically, the Wildcat should be launched conventionally from a period carrier. We've added catapult gear (invisible) to make use of the modern Acceleratio carrier's cats if you wish.:engel016:
Hey I didn't get that paint in the package! Is it available for download anywhere?

Someone asked if the F4F-4 was launched by using a cat. Yes from jeep carriers such as the Long Island. The 1st F4Fs to land at Henderson Field Guadalcanal were launched that way from the Long Island 200NM out. Most of the pilots were fresh out of flight school and some had never flown an F4F-4 and some had about 10 hours in them. They learned to fly the aircraft on the way to Henderson Field. The next day VMF-223 was in combat. 19 of thies aircraft landed on Aug 20 1942. When they left on Oct. 11 1942 to return home they had lost 9 pilots KIA and 3 WIA.Out of the 19 F4Fs flown in only three were left flyable.

Hi - link is given on post 23 of this thread. :ernae:

Thanks but that is for the paint kit which I have but I am still figuring out being a rookie painter and all.
I was hoping there was a prewar paint already done and available bummer!

That pre-war scheme is already in the F4F-3 pack as texture.USS Ranger.

Hmmm it's not showing time for some investigating.

Explains it it's not there. I've been paintnapped.
I guess I will try a reinstall if that doesn't work a re-down load.
Thanks Bazz

Well ater first trying the re-install option I found no Ranger paint then downloaded fresh from JF and reinstalled still no Ranger paint.
Any Ideas?????
Anyone else missing this paint?

Yup, Same for me. I just un-installed & re-installed, & even added the paintkit. Still no pre-war USS Ranger version.

I did by the "combined version, If that has any bearing on the issue,

Thanks
Bill

Yep Bought the combined pack too.
No textures or listing in the aircraft configuation for that paint.
Be easier if you could just grab that paint and slap it in instead of downloading the whole thing again.

This is the entire complement of Stubby Kitties I got after installation. Not counting the Martlets.

Hi all,

Details of where that aircraft model came from are too secret for me to be able to say anything :salute:

More information should appear later on. Until then, keep calm and carry on

Hi,

On the JF forum I have just read from RAS JF that JF are planning to release some expansion packs! Spread the word!

Yes, Just got the reply from JF support confirming that, that version (pre-war - USS Ranger) was NOT included in the release of the product. Bummer!

No pic's are posted of that livery on the product pages either.
