Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

SOH-CM-2024
So, I am still new to FS2024. I have experimented with selecting co-pilot avatars, and found it somewhat limiting. Then, this morning, my Cessna 172 had a young red head sitting next to me, for about ten seconds. Then she changed to one of the regular limited options. Well, I guess these days I am too old to notch it down to either a dream or wishful thinking, so does anyone have a clue what happened? I do wish we had the customization options for the co-pilot that we have for our own pilot avatar.

I wish we had more options for both pilot and co-pilot avatars. As for the young redhead. I can't say anything that wouldn't be insulting either your age, manhood, etc. ;) At least you had 10 seconds. I am sure they spot me a mile away and steer clear.

Enjoy 2024. It keeps getting better and better with every update.

Even trees pull up root to steer clear. LOL

I agree John, there is no way I would be interested in going back to FS2020.

Click on your username on the top right menu bar to get to the customize character options for pilot and copilot:

And looking at the above image, the mystery deepens. None of the co-pilot avatars have the ability to get red hair.... Seriously, I wonder if for a moment it was a test of an upcoming addition?

I've noticed an inability to mod the co-pilot...I've modded my pilot....but the co-pilot seems like it doesn't mod. BUT...I haven't spent a huge amount of time on it, and I certainly haven't Read The Bleeping Manual yet (just found out SoH stars out our favorite acronym regarding that lack of diligence on our part [in order to protect our delicate sensitivities, apparently])...so I got nobody to point to but myself, in all likelihood...

There is a red haired female pilot avatar, but I don't think there's any way to switch pilot and copilot avatars.

Thanks Tiger. Since my sim totally refused to load for over a year, I totally forgot how. Sim has been working fine since the SU5.

Did you carry out your preflight checks correctly? It might have been your Guardian Angel showing up for a momentšŸ˜Ž

Well, I was a red head before I went bald and grey, as were many of the Kerrs. And that's got to be Eilean Donan in your thumbnail.. Gorgeous location.
