Can anyone comment on how the Lago F-16 compares to the Kirk Olsen freeware F-16? I've tried the Kirk Olsen plane, but I would like something different.

I personaly switched completely to Kirk olsens freeware just because of the paints the only thing that is left on my pc is the f16 sound included in the lago package as replacement sound

That Lago F-16 is the best flight model F-16 available, but as txmmy mentioned, repaints are not as abundant as they are for the other one. The paint kit was a bit harder to manage and very few (Dag and Vinflyer) did repaints at all.

The rest of the aircraft is a mixed bag, based on current aircraft. . .the 2d cockpit is excellent (but not many fly that way anymore). . .the VC is dated and I actually think the Viper has a better vc. Where the Lago version excells is in the popups from the 2d. A cockpit selection icon is available in the lower right of the screen and it access photorealistic (and I do mean realistic) modules for each system to include the left and right system panels and the fwd gauges panel.

The one thing that I fault the Falcon on is that prior to an update they did way back when, you could start the Falcon based on the Dash 1 and the flaps were activated based on airspeed and angle of attack (as is the real bird), after the update, the startup procedure went out the window and Lago claimed they couldn't fix it. As for the flaps, I don't remember if they remained as originally designed or not.

So that's a more comprehensive look at the Lago falcon for FS9. My opinion. . .if someone were to redesign the VC and repaints were more widely available, there wouldn't be another version that could touch it.

I have it, and actually quite like it, it's available from Just flight as the 'FS Falcon' addon, probably one of the last places it's available. It comes with a mid-air refuelling thingy, quirky, difficult, difficult to get to grips with, but fun none-the-less. IIRC, they forget to mention the tanker goes round for 360 degrees or something, spent a good while chasing my tail looking for it, lol.

I have it in my hanger, but have no screenies, there will be some on JF site I'm sure.

I have to admit I haven't tried Kirk's rendition, so comparison is futile.
