Landing Light problem

Hi guys...I 've re-installed FS9 and in the process of changin gout various textures and odds and ends I seem to have lost the effect of the landing lights on all the planes. I can see the lights on the planes but there is no lighting, nothing gets lit up when the landing lights are pointed directly at runways , trees, etc.
I'm suspecting that i've overwritten something. So, my question is, which effects and/or texture files are operated by the landing/taxi lights?

I'm thinking the halo.bmp file although I could be wrong about it. You can get modded versions at the usual suspects (AvSim/FlightSim).

Thanks, Willy....that just might be it...I may have somehow overwritten , if not that particular file, then one like it with something that doesn't work. I'll investigate and see. mif

It's actually the Spotlight.bmp that lights up the runways. It's on CD2, MSGAME3.cab and goes into the main Texture folder.
