Had something strange happen during a flight in the RG Dynamic. I could hear the Nav1 frequency at a higher pitch than normal with the selector for the beacon ID = 0. If I toggled the selector to ID=1, I would hear the beacon at the higher pitch and the normal pitch but not simultaneously. Using the keypad, Ctrl - 1 would toggle the normal pitched ID off but the mystery ID sound remained. OK, so I figure, I must have loaded the Dynamic following another aircraft instead of loading from the FSX default.
So I loaded the Dynamic from the default, with the same radio frequencies set. I made a flight to an airport 30 miles away and the ID identifier operated the way it should, both from the keyboard and from the panel button (ID=0, ID=1 and ID=2) with no mystery ID sound. Landed and saved the flight thinking I'd solved the problem. Nope! When I loaded the aircraft tonight and took off for a return flight to my homebase, as soon as I reached an altitude high enough to detect the VOR, I now hear the mystery, higher pitched, VOR morse Identifier. Again the problem. I cannot think of why that would occur and certainly cannot figure out why even the keyboard command will not turn it off. Very puzzling??? I thought it might be an ADF signal but, 1) It would not be the same Morse signal, 2) there is no ADF in the Dynamic, and 3) It would not turn off with the keyboard toggle command (Ctrl - 5)
Any theories? I'm flummoxed.
The only clue is that the ID signal is not at the normal pitch, but where it is coming from, I have no idea. Also it does not occur on a "virgin flight". It only occurs on a reload of a subsequently saved flight. I hate mysteries as I am an engineer, but I truly LOVE this aircraft. (35 hours so far)
