Lockheed P-38 (s) by David C. Copley = EXCELLENT!

Obio, are you using Firefox when you get the red warning box, I get it when I go to 1 site using Firefox but not with Internet explorer.

I'm using IE8 and AVG payware goes nuts when I click onto DCC's site.

Nigel, I've been kicking around the idea of another around the world flight in the Beech this time using a different paint for each leg. Only problem is that when I do fly it for that kind of distance, I get burned out on it for a while and I'm just now getting over the last time around the world.

:salute:Willy, if that's an invitation, I'd fly as your number two anytime my friend!
Especially in the '18.

Just two problems though...
1. I've never flown online before.
2. I don't have regular access to the net (I live in a remote valley in Northern Greece where even my cell phone is in permanent hibernation!
Have been spending a couple of weeks at my daughter's place, (and using her connection, God bless her) hence my intense, probably annoying thread participitation. Just sort of cramming if you know what I mean.
But I'll leave you all in peace soon:wiggle: ...for a while at least.
You've got a great site and community here, and I personally owe my thanks to Willy for getting me out of the dark on more than one occasion. Thanks pal!
Nigel

...and yes, a propliner is definately a properliner

I turned off my Avast long enough to get in to David's site and had no problem while I was there. I compared what was on his site to what was on Flightsim, and it looks like Flightsim has all of his latest releases. Using the Advanced File Search, select the FS2004 Warbirds category, enter David Copley into the keywords field, then check the Base Models box. You should get eight files listed.

I did the same thing at the FS2002 Aircraft area. Search for Copley, then search for Shupe,
what more could you want??? :wavey: The P-38's look Excellent and Milton's Beech 18 has reflection effects that still make my jaw drop!

Christopher

I'll call my contacts in the HAF to keep you awake when that happens :icon_lol:

Yes please, Smoothie!:jump: you don't know anyone on the cl-215's by any chance? The 415's have been at it all week, good firerfighters just no P&Whitneys. Last spring I was down at the beach (always nipping down there even for the 414's touch'n goes) and there was one of them, engines stopped, 200 yards from the shore, the old man and his tyro having a fag. God I love ths country and its people!
Oh when the 215's come over in the summer, just before sunset. They're flying empty most of the time, so they just purr at less than half throttle. Nothing loud, but you can 'feel' all that power in the air. Gets the hair on the back of my neck standing up...oh God, you've done it again you bugger: got me sidetracked and waffling on...

piece of cake.... ok think i may have to get these Lightnings (why did i almost put 'mosquitos' *confused expression*) think i may have to paint a few to a racey scheme (My Favourit schemes)...

DCC did a race pack of them including Lefty Gardner's White Lightning (now the Red Bull P-38). At the bottom of the page:

Nigel, I really don't have an idea when I would start that flight. The Merc Air Flight 19 flights take precedence so anything else is hit or miss.

Nigel if you ever want to be coached by a seasoned Online Display pilot or just act as wingman let me know and we'll have a fly, that goes for all of you, i have a regular server owned by a German girl i know, and theres also the outhouse server, so if you ever want a fly just give me a shout and i'll open my hangar up and get something out and join you :salute:
