Way back when FS 9 came out, someone posted a file that made the default red lights on the various antennas scattered about brighter. Now that I'm reinstalling FS9 on the new system, Danged if I can find it again...

I was looking for the same file not long ago. It's by Matthew L. Purcell and the zip is called rdotwrl.zip. He did two, the second one changing the blink rate a little.

You can also tweak your runway lights with a tweak to the fs9.cfg's [Display] section:
