Looking for ALPHASIM PHANTOM COLLECTION sets

Manuele Villa told me that the ALPHASIM PHANTOM COLLECTIONS SETS 1, 2 and 3 were freeware at flightsim.com. I could not find them there.

Does anyone know where they can be found and if they are really freeware or not?

He doesn't seem to be shouting to me, he just highlighted the Alphasim Phantoms is all I'm not sure all 3 of those sets are available any more. At least I haven't seen them around.

The updated packs can be found at simviation, added new gauges and fixed some things on the model and the vc works! Updated packs 2 and 3 are here on the bottom of the page.

Below updated Pack 1 is the Virtavia F4 Phantom II Package (formerly known as Alphasim) but it might be the same pack Motormouse mentioned in his post that you can get at Virtavia Freeware. But be careful if you download it after you install the Updated Packs, because it might over write them. I'd rather use the Updated Packs myself, especially if the vc is working!

Yup.. ya beat me to it! Last I looked, they were all still there. I just wanted to get the RF-4E because I somehow mucked it up,, and no backup. so.. pack 3 was once again downloaded.

For MY rework of MarKus Hellwigs Luftwaffe bird. sigh.. take 2!

AP does not work

I installed the pack 1 set and tried to give it an AUTOPILOT, but it does not work....

Any help will be appreciated. When I switch off the AP, I do not hear the 4 beeps that are normally heard.

My AP section settings, copied from a PERCIVAL VEGA GULL (where they do work and I hear the beeps) are as follows:

Hey Nick,

So when you have the battery turned on, the Avionics switch on, and you hit the Z key once or twice, you never hear the beeps?

I pressed SHIFT+A (avionics on) and SHIFT+M (battery on) and did not hear the beep, but that may be because I have the engine sound too loud--I will check the sound settings and see what I can correct and will report back. The AP seemed to work ok though.

This last flight, the engine cut after a few minutes, but I can fix that as it happened on another a/c before and I then changed the engine data on that and fixed it.

More tomorrow as it is 2.20 am her and bedtime for me with reading a page or two of a book...
