Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Looking for FS2004/FS9 - “AI_CARGO_SHIP.ZIP” by Mitsuya Hamaguchi

As Mitsuya Hamaguchi has closed the FS2004 Website (files not found message),
I am seeking a copy of his fine cargo ships which were listed on his site as *AI_Cargo_ship.zip*.

I seem to remember that someone had downloaded all of his FS2004 models and has made them available somewhere, but I unfortunately can't recall where that might be.

For your information:
The download on FS-Shipyard.org does not work anylonger unfortunately (tried that allready). And even Wayback Machine is not able to find or trace it either…
So if anyone can provide the above “AI_Cargo_Ship.zip" file or direct me to working Download Location, I would be very apprecative.

Thanks in advance.

indeed rather hard to find; best out there in said respect - pilotable/sailable by Holker, Smith, and Thatcher / FS-Shipyards: https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=ian+thatcher+holker+&categoryId=35

That would be one of them. And it cames from FS Shipyard.

Perhaps these FS2002 AI ships would suffice in the circumstances -
sh02pat-1.zip
tankfs8.zip
scfshwo.zip

All by G. Guichard and available at SimViation . . .

And what about using static ships with wake effects? These could be placed where they should be seen, like approaching paths. At least the effect is almost the same, over even better, than too long and rather unrealistic wakes. Unless you want a kind of ship simulator. Sea routes in FS9 are another story.

Nah, i’m specifically looking for the “AI_CARGO_SHIP.zip” which is made specifically to work and needed to work with the Freeware Addon: “AI_Ships_on_Hong_Kong_Harbor” on Avsim Library.

The Readme of the last one, mentiones:

Quote:

The folders of the cargo ships searched by the author and now unavailable are correctly named:

AI_ContenaShip
AI_Car_CarrierShip

I had it once, but lost the single files during a total crash. "France' and 'Mega Yacht' could be converted to AI ships.

I “kinda” found it…

https://pbook.jp/?p=9650

Its downloadable via Wayback machine…

Allthough: all the files are unfortunately password protected and so not useable / openable… unfortunately…

So: nope! that was nothing there… unfortunately…
says it right there: ※パスワードは「co1512360」です。---> the italicized characters in alpha-numeric - for convenience; by the way, nice find ;)

Awesome… thanks for finding the Password…

here’s the full encrypted file…:

Got an Issue though with the Mega Yacht in Hong Kong Kai Tak,
as she's sitting on the Taxiway where she should be sitting in the water just nearby …

where she currently sitts:

Where she needs to be:

Does anybody has a working ADE and could eventually fix that for me? as my ADE doesn't seem to work anylonger as it won't export the files the way its needed... seems like my ADE has some sort of XML issues... so if anybody of you could fix that, i'd be highly appreciative...

I'll add the files where only the Afcad needs to be fixed, so she sitts in the water nearby correctly and not on the taxiway...

Thanks a ton in advance!

I would suggest to use AFX from Flight 1 anyway. It has a extremely useful WYSIWYG mode. Nothing is more simple than this tool.
Thanks for sharing the AI Cargo file.
