Make AI traffic fly circuits

Is this possible? And is there somewhere
where I can find step by step instructions on how to make this happen?

Thanks in advance

Off course this is possible! The airfields I made for fs2004 often had an accompanying traffic file. I still make traffic files for P3Dv4.
I don't know where you can find instructions.

Yes. All my AI planes fly circuits. There's no reason to have them fly between airports because you can't follow them and you really only see them when they're on the ground or taking off or landing.

Simply use the same airport for both the departure and arrival airports in your flight plans. But make two legs. For some reason FS9 doesn't like single-leg flight plans. But it doesn't object if the two legs are identical except for the take-off times. It takes fifteen minutes or so for a leg, so allow anything over that between take-off times of the two legs. That allows for the plane to arrive and park before it departs for the second leg.

There are instructions for setting up AI in the instructions that come with Lee Swordy's AFCAD. So even if you prefer ADE9X to work on your airports, grab a copy of AFCAD for the AI instructions.

Does the author eventually means that kind of circuits?

These are the famous Bee Gees of Golden Wings 3 Cleveland Air Race. I already tried to recreate the race at Chicago's Curtiss Reynold Field, With the same Afcad, same flight plans and same aircraft. But it doesn´t work. What you describe above are more patttern flights.
