Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Mercer Airfield coming

Mercer and Kelly have changed their population. Seems Daves people are not to be used in projects downloaded from Flightsim.to. As a result I have changed the people to the animated people you can get at Flightsim.to. Some ways they are better, in other ways l like the ones I chose from Daves set. Anyway thanks to Federico for telling me about them.
Still it is important that the files are able to be downloaded from Flightsim.to to get the maximum exposure.
I also hope to upload the file here once I find out how to do it.

Hi,

In the menu bar of the site, go to resources, click on the orange button "add resource" and select the appropriate location. In this case, that should be FS2024 scenery.

If you announce that in this board, please do so in a separate thread saying "Released" so I can sticky it.

Thanks for your contribution!

Mercer's main hangar doors open and close with the yoke hide if you are using default Osobo planes.
I'm told that it does work with some addons. It depends on how the creator coded the yoke hide.
As a result of this restriction I have made the big doors Taxi through, so you can get any aircraft in the hangar.
Here is some images of the doors operating.

With the Update2 being released it has caused a few issues with the stream I need to iron out.
I will going to post today, but I feel I need to check it more carefully.

Thanks Denny for posting the video. One thing I will mention is if you want to see the Tiger moths you will need Ants Tiger moth addon. The Tiger moths are on the Airfield as static objects with full permission from Anthony at Ants. The Tiger moth addon is payware. If you don’t have them you still can use the Airfields, you just won't see any Tiger moths. Same with the people. There will be a link in the readme to get them from Flightsim.to. They are freeware.
The only issue you may notice is the ridges in the road. This is caused by the displacement map. If you turn of the displacement map they smooth out. The only issue doing that is you get reduced water in the stream. It's your choice.
Make sure Fauna is off. It creates a big hit on frame rates in this area. You still see the animals on the Airfields.

Mercer Airfield and Kelly Field are up on Flightsim.to
I will put it up here as well. It is freeware.
I'm now working on a small airfield called Kiapara Flat airfield Located north of Auckland in New Zealand.
Complexity wise it fits Halfway between Mercer and Kelly field. Should be done by the end of the week.
