Merry Christmas - Sibwings Birddog is Ready to Go!!!!

That looks nice Gajit. Are you doing anything with the VC to change the reg number on the panel?

Nice color and weathering Gajit :wavey:

and 6297J brings up an interesting thought is there a way to auto change the panel numbers to match the plane repaints?

with as many paints that will most likely be made for this bird there will need to be all kinds of extra texture.files to match each :kilroy:

Unfortunately the 'official' repaints on the Sibwings site do not change the interior or the panel at all (at least the RESCUE version doesn't) which is surprising.

Purchased Bird Dog today and it's jaw dropping good. Some awesome paints available too:ernae::ernae:

Might be a worth of some of my own paints in the future too:salute:.

Why is it every time I see that insignia I want a soft drink?

Gajit, not sure how he did it but on one of the repaints at sibwing (see attached) he did and included it in his paint...they have a nice open forum but you know that :ernae:

Thanks to all a SibWings that helped me recover from my snafu and finally get this in the air. Great work folks. Did a flight in the Haute Alpes from Alpe d-Huez and back. landed fine, but, hey, if you don't keep the mojo up taxing up that sloped runway, you'll need a tow, LOL

BTW, seeing a lot of repaints, is there a paint kit in the package or one available? Haven't looked yet. Edit: Never mind, found it at the Sib Wings forum. Plus all those wonderful paints. :ernae:

'Deputy Dog' is looking very nice :applause:

As is the Canadian Air Cadet League :salute:

As is ROKAF :jump:

Very excited to see what is next!

Don't know if anything has been done for FSX but I do know there were at least four different gauge files (atc_id.zip, atcident.zip, callsig4.zip, and tail_flight_number.zip) posted for FS2004 that picked up the atc_id out of the pertinent aircraft.cfg entry and displayed it on the panel. These had different features ranging from providing a transparent id background plate to, in one case, providing a choice of a grey or tan background plate. Of course, one had to use a gauge statement in the panel.cfg file to invoke it. That also allowed the id plate to be positioned and scaled. It worked for 2d panels I know but I do not know if it also worked for VCs - it should.

Deputy Dog is now finished, will upload it here tomorrow, since it's getting late here:ernae:
