MiG-15/MiG-17 SP4

Well, broke down and installed the MiG-17 SP4 after pulling and saving the MiG-17s I originally had on the system. Bought the MiG-15 on a CD thorugh Pilot Shop, and updating will require some info from F1's customer service for that. On hold for now. Re the MiG-17 SP4 - yes, there are three more models with maybe four individual aircraft among them. One of them is actually a Lim-5 that was in the SP3's "LIMs" textures, fielded as a separate Lim-5 aircraft in SP4. The textures are a little smoother. Tried converting the SP4 textures using the DXT3 tool with the original MiG-17's texture files but that doesn't work, they grey out. Had some inop panel switches in virtual cockpit of SP4 plus the landing gear switch handle was constantly cycling up and down, would remain down for a while after being batted there using the mouse. Sure miss those pop-ups from the 2D panel, as well as the 2D panel itself. For these reasons and others, I pulled SP4 and put the originals back in. Found with SP4 you do get the 2D panel view without the panel, all you get is the blank screen in place of the panel. I noticed, however, that when using the fixed views in the 2D screen without the panel and looking around various points of the compass using the joystick hat switch, the rest of the interior of the cockpit does display. Interesting.
